It was an issue with the clips being in different formats so i had to (of course ! ) conform all to AppleProRes422. That sorted it out. I have usually put my videos onto Vimeo and of course most, if not all, of my problems are sorting out there.... but now, in the interests of SEO I want to stream vids from my own server. In order to do that, I have to provide the Webmaster with the followiby factandfable - Café LA Re: Trouble Exporting to h264 - 11 years agoThank you. Funny, I've done it this way before and did not have that problem. But I will convert each clip before putting into timeline.by factandfable - Café LA Trouble Exporting to h264 - 11 years agoHaving an issue with exporting from FCP7 - I have a three minute timeline made up of text and video of various formats (photo jpeg, mp4, etc...) The project is taking over two hours to render. I've never had this problem before with some of the same clips in the past (they're from various stock libraries). Any ideas why this would be all of a sudden? Could my settings be wrong? What do othersby factandfable - Café LA TextOverlay on MovingImage in FCP7 - 11 years agoHello, Wonder if anyone has come up against this issue: The text was generated in the text tool in fcp7 and laid over moving images - it does not jerk whn playing on the time line. thank you for any suggesstions offered. Cannot put this up looking so unprofessional. The presets in FCP have all been set so that this should not be happening. Thank you.by factandfable - Café LA Re: General Error - 13 years agoHello, I found your post here and see that it was quite some time ago that you posted it; hope you're still there? You mentioned that you solved the problem of the 'general error' you converted all of your footage to Prores HQ; would you please tell me exactly what that is? I have some footage that unfortunately does not have adequate volume level as it was only recorded with the mic on-board camera. Obviously I know how to raise the volume to the max on the raw footage by dragging the red line on the audio track... while I do not recall how to do it, I once saw an editor send the clip out (export maybe) and then when he brought it on on a timeline, it camby factandfable - Café LA Re: Log & Capture from Mixed Tapes - 15 years agoTo try to further elucidate the problem above, I am also putting in more information for my team: we have a set of tapes that were recorded in HD on another camera; the tapes play in our HD and our DV cameras; however, when we attempt to log and capture in FCP we receive a message that the pre-sets are not set correctly. The message indicates that this can occur when playing a DV tape iby factandfable - Café LA Log and capture presets - 15 years agoUsing FCP 6.0.5, I installed it and thought I had all the presets correct. Unlike the FCP version prior to this one, this one does not seem to recognize the HDV camera that I have firewired into the computer. It keeps giving me "Unable to initialize AV device"; I have to close down and completely start FCP. Even then it sometimes won't recognize external device... at other times it rby factandfable - Café LA Re: time coded footage - 15 years agoThank you very much, that is so helpful. So now it looks like it will take at least 7 hrs. depending on connection speeds to do this job!
