you have to also understand that you are NOT going to get the same results on that little sony sr1 that they get from bigger studio cameras - the latitude just aint there...by wayne granzin - Café LA

i made a more dramatic jump (from a quad G5 2.5 to an OCTO intel 2.8) back in january. and was surprised that there wasnt as much improvement in times as id have hoped. significant improvement was made - just not as night and day as i would have imagined... what gave the most performance increase was adding 16 gigs of ram and moving my scratch disc from a firewire800 drive to an eSATA situatioby wayne granzin - Café LA

man, do a forum search (upper left below the supermeet banner) for "external hard drive" or "firewire" or similar phrase. we have covered this to absolute miserable DEATH... in your case (HD/HDV) the minimum safe requirement is firewire800by wayne granzin - Café LA

if its there, its there. if the whole frame wasnt in motion you MIGHT be able to clone the surrounding area over it - but im sure thats not the case.. best thing you can do is put something else over it.by wayne granzin - Café LA

my needs are becoming more and more mobile so im about to grab a new (last years pre-hardwired battery) macbook pro. anyone know, is there anything that the 17" can do that the 15" can not? aside of course from displaying two more inches of content...? OH, and does anyone have real world experience as to whether the solid state hard drive is of any major day-to-day value?by wayne granzin - Café LA

the only problem you will run into is often times the timing, navigation and transition animations in the powerpoint may go a bit wonky on the export. you have to let your client know that while it CAN be done. it was not MADE for that and it may not behave exactly as it would in its native environment.by wayne granzin - Café LA

i think what david needs here is a basic education on getting movies onto the net. david, im guessing that by 71gig file, you mean that youve exported your final movie as a standalone quicktime? what you need to do is go back to your timeline and do an export using quicktime conversion. there you can pick a dimension and compressor. you, as a non web-techy dude, cant just serve up a fullby wayne granzin - Café LA

ok, this all sounds very weird. there has to have been a mistake made, as files like this dont typically just go partially haywire... youre also leaving out some info. when you say "When I click to open it nothing even comes up." - what are you clicking to open. p2 content cant be simply clicked and viewed like a quicktime movie... so, you drag and dropped the p2 media onto youby wayne granzin - Café LA
