The original MIRO driver was a proprietary codec, a motion jpeg A of some sort, and worked very well with PT using the 320x240 size at 29.97fps- it would pby tc - Café LA Re: Lacie vs The World. (OT, a bit) - 17 years agoHi: Here's a few suggestions: Cheap drapes from IKEA have helped my bay a surprising amount. Full bookshelves on the wall behind you work very well as diffusors. Hang some fiberglass or foam panels at varying angles from the ceiling- for vibe, one might do abstract paintings on the visible side. In general, I'm not a fan of Auralex, etcetera. Large overstuffed furniture helps, too. "general error 39"...help! - 17 years agoHi: Since it's letting you export sections, you might try making a few, smaller self-contained QT's- say 10 to 20 minutes in length each- and re-assemble the whole show in a new sequence- think of it as assembling AB reels like an old-school feature film. I like to do this when I have the luxury. It gives me the illusion I actually have something physical finished. I'd say that you should monitor the Mbox. The Mbox has a fair amount of latency, so you'll need to turn the "mix" knob on the front panel fully counter clockwise while your recording to hear the source with no echo. If you are running picture out the firewire port to a broadcast monitor, then yes. Sync will be an issue. Audio must follow video to maintain sync for certain. If you are not running an external video monitor, and will view picture only on the Mac's monitor, then yes, yoby tc - Café LA Re: Audio Dropout - 17 years agoHi: If Kevin's suggestion doesn't do it (it should!), then: Do the dropouts occur in the timeline, the viewer, or both? Very good for doing small numbers of files.* I don't think there's another way to export an .aiff file with a metadata marker that will travel to PT. SDII files- definitely, and Broadcast Wave files- I think so. .Aiff files, I don't think so. Just leave the PT RTAS and TDM plug-ins installed, and you're gold. You should capture using the DV codec in FCE and use the resulting file directly in PT, as mentioned above. If you're having trouble capturing with the Canopus, a good work around is copying the VHS directly into a consumer dv camera, then capture digitally from the cam viby tc - Café LA Re: FCP Surround Sound - 17 years agoKoz: > Most Cool. Simple answer! Yes and no. PT LE does not support OMF media natively, however, with the optional DV Toolkit or the stand alone Digitranslator, you can convert the edit files and media into a PT friendly format. That's quite a lot. That's more than just drift. It'd sound like the Exorcist or something. If your drift is only around 2 frames a minute and you can't detect much (if any) pitch change in the audio, it's likely a pull up/pull down setting issue.
