Hope this helps Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: Leopard and FCP - 15 years agoYes sorry this is all on Snow Leopard Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: SNOW LEOPARD: Highs, Lows & Bugs [things to know before you upgrade] - 15 years agoAll great here. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: Leopard and FCP - 15 years agoHello I'm running FC3 on 2x2.8 Ghz Quad-Core and 15" MacPro all working very nicely. Although it has QT X it keeps QT 7 Pro as well but tucks it away in Apps/Utilities. Both machines seem snappier also networking much more stable all my apps are working and printer drivers are fine. I dont have any IO cards attached so cant comment on these. thanks Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: Free Plug-in Link - 15 years agoThis swing tilt effect has some very advanced features ie additionally blurring specific parts of the image also comes with a couple of tutorial videos. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Free Plug-in Link - 15 years agoShrinkray is a plugin for Final Cut Pro that allows you to add tilt and shift effects to your images. After the end of Thursday, the price of ShrinkRay for FCP will move to $49. Get shrinkray free here... cheers Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: TOD files - 15 years agoThink I saw something on youtube, try that. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: Does the Mac Pro tower support 1500 GB drives? - 15 years agoI have a 2TB works fine Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: New Monitor to go with New Mac? - 15 years agoI use Cinema 4D R11 its so great and a really fast renderer. Best monitor I think is Eizo ColorEdge CG241W LCD Monitor Dby derek hillier - Café LA Re: OT: C4D export to FCP - 15 years agoHello With in the render viewer of c4d you should be able to see your alfa if its there. The only thing I do is render out to tiff's then assemble in QT Pro to make image sequence. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: colors change exporting stills from fcp to photoshop - 15 years agoWell I have had this problem and its all to do with the colour space each program uses. In Photoshop it should be Adobe 1998 RGB Also your using a laptop screen not good for viewing also in fcp no external monitor so very hard to judge gamma. What is your photoshop colour space set to? Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: OT: Canon EOS 5D - 15 years agoHey lets all go and buy a Phantom 4k Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: OT: Canon EOS 5D - 15 years agoThanks for the info, I was going to test one first myself, anyway my main purpose was its stills capability. thanks again Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: .swf file in fcp? - 15 years agoHello Get yourself the Perian Quicktime plug in, its free. It allows you to open Flash movies in QT then convert to a FCP friendly format. Here's the link. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: OT: Canon EOS 5D - 15 years agoThanks for the link I've seen some footage from this camera and it is great apart from all the shooting limitations. Also a fantastic still camera, I own a 1ds mkII. Maybe they (canon) will fix some things with a firmware update. Over here (uk) its £2000 and I already own a lot of L series lenses so its a great deal. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: Blu-Ray Authering - 16 years agoThanks very much, do you think they are easy to fit? cheers Derekby derek hillier - Café LA OT: Blu-Ray Drive/Authoring - 16 years agoHello All I Know its a bit off topic but I just upgraded to Toast 10 with the HD Blu-Ray plug in and was wondering what Blu-Ray writer will be compatible. I have a late 2008 8 core Mac Pro. I've seen advertised internal Pioneer in the USA but I'm in UK, also an external Lacie. Toast help was rubbish they just didn't help. Any ideas? thanks Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: RAM for 2008 macs - 16 years agoI would go with fully buffered ECC ram I just got 2x 2GB chips there is no need to go for small chips. The wrong ram can cause all sorts of crashes and slow downs. Buy from Crucial or Mr Memory its a third of the price than from Apple Also read the manual about ram configuring its different on these 8 cores Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: OT- 10.5.2 is Out! - 16 years agoAll seems OK on my 8core 2.8ghz Mac Pro. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: DVD Digitizing looks terrible - 16 years agoHandbrake is great and free Derekby derek hillier - Café LA New Mac - 16 years agoJust completed project with new Mac/Quicktime all great. New 8 core 2.8 mhz Intel Mac 6GB Ram 23" Apple Display ATI Radeon HD 2600 Leopard 10.5.1 FinalCutStudio 5.1.4 Quicktime 7.4.1 This is just lightning compared to my old G5 1.8 single processor Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: OT: Migration Assistant - Words of Wisdom? - 17 years agoHi all I have had mixed results too. I would do a clean install also if your moving from PPC to Intel, it takes longer but your system will be better. Also before I would re-install your operating system and remove unwanted languages and printer drivers and all the other demo software and programs your not likely to use, you can always add them later. Derekby derek hillier - Café LA Re: Who is jumping into leapord?? (Leopard) - 17 years agoHi All I'm between projects Leopard is on its way should arrive today {uk}. Going to install on G5 1.8 and G4 12" laptop 1.5ghz to see what happens, will let you know.
