In theory you should see a viewer w/ all your cllps visible, and a canvas with whatever cam is selected. Having said that, the setup is not very intuitive. This Larry Jordan tutorial helped me. switched Luck paulby paul kelleher - Café LA Re: Cutting long form HDV - 16 years agoHey Guys- Anyone done much MULTICLIP HDV ? When exporting using Broadband medium ( for web upload) I get black "sidebars" on the resulting 320 X240 quicktime file. I can expand the window to lose the bars, but the window size is now 346X259. Actually I agree with both of you. My prelim experiments prove that most of the time keyboard- mouse is faster. But- 1. My arm hurts. Thanks paulby paul kelleher - Café LA Using Video track 2 times- double size? - 16 years agoI have an 85 minute video w/ two alternate sound mixes, a stereo and a 5.1 surround. I want to have two play buttons, stereo and 5.1. I assumed that since I am reusing the same video track for both, that DVD sp would count it once, but it actually doubles the size (too big!) when I create the second timeline. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Paulby paul kelleher - DVD Studio Pro Re: ac3 surround and ac3 stereo- need both? - 16 years agoThanks John- I've decided to include both tracks so that I don't have to worry about how the DVD player will handle the downmix. (Theatrical showing, unknown hardware, operator). I would like this to be foolproof. So my next question is can I create a button on the menu that allows a switch between 5.1 or stereo sound? The question is: Do I need to include a stereo mix track also for when the disc is played back on a player w/o 5.1 surround capability? I will probably be doing HDV/DV projects mainly. If the slow down is really minor, then it seems like an internal raid 1 would be an easy, inexpensive "more safe than a single drive" storage space.
