Jeremy G. over on the cow had the great idea that you could rely on dynamic linking to get an XML. I tried it out using a tweak to his workflow. FCP X>After Effects> Export a Premiere Project> Export an XML>Import XML into Final Cut 7 It worked. Proof of concept, but not sure if I'd want to rely on it heavily on a day to day basis.by Eddie Torre - Café LA - X Re: OT: Atomos Ninja...this looks ridiculously cool!! - 13 years agografixjoe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ...have to do more research to see if it is > possible to output a clean HDMI signal from a > Canon 7D...then this would be a huge winner for me > If I'm not mistaken, I think you just toggle through the <INFO> button in movie mode to get a clean signal outby Eddie Torre - Café LA Re: New Display Recommendations Please - 14 years agoDell came to your rescue today (a bit over your $1200 though)by Eddie Torre - Café LA Re: Invalid Directory Structures - 14 years agoI usually make a copy of the disk image through disk utility before I import anything. I've had people give me stuff with bad file structures before where they just copy the movies and not the whole directory structure. One way around this is to go back to the camera, and shoot a video clip of 1 or 2 seconds (could be anything). I don't know if the Sonnet bit is necessarily true anymore (old review), but it serves to illustrate why you have to be careful. (* The Sonnet Tempo SATA Pro ExpressCard/34 is unique among SATA ExpressCards in that it is the only true SATA adapter. Other brands say "SATA" but are actually using USB protocols. I realize a pro app is more than aesthetics, but presentation is important, and FCP's GUI was really showing its age in the last release, let alone this one. Couple that with Color's interface (not only this release, but the last one too) and it becomes apparent that there has been, and continues to be a de-emphasis on vertically integrated design that is veryby Eddie Torre - Café LA Re: 1080i 60 Project to Apple Pro Res - 15 years agoThis may seem counterintuitive, but I'd try Frame Controls: On Output Fields: Top first Deinterlace: Better Try a small section if your clip is long (using in/out points in the preview window)by Eddie Torre - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Re: OT (but perhaps not) - templates for web based demo reels? - 15 years agoI'd highly recommend Rapidweaver If you don't like the templates "themes" that come with the program, you can buy a third party one, usually around $15 or so. It could be several different things, but one culprit could be the power supply. I had a machine that was similar if not identical to your machine and I remember there was a power supply recall on it. The power supply was making the fan(s) very erratic.
