approach 1 (works on some sites, but not all) 1 launch activity window 2 launch download window (Safari>window>downloads) 2 locate the .flv file (reload the page with activity monitor open, and look for the file that takes longer to load, size is usually in MB) 3 cmd c this file 4 cmd v this file into the download window 5 convert in quicktime with perian installed approach

I don't know if this applies to you or not, but renting an HDCAM deck, particularly one you aren't familiar is pretty tough sledding. We did that once, and even thought we were warned about the menu settings (in some cases they run five menu buttons deep), we thought we were pretty smart, having laid off to all kinds of other decks (eg Sony DVW-A500). I've also had luck booting into OS 9 with a LaCie attached. Something about OS 9 lets the drive right itself, not sure why though.

Has the project been emailed at any point without archiving? (eg .sit .zip) Sometimes the email chain will scramble edls and projects.

How many solos are there? A guitar solo, sax solo and a synth solo? Not many artists can say they have 3 solos in one song. My only question is: When does the sequel come out?

Other culprits could possibly be related to DVI, namely ATI card, DVI cables, ADC/DVI converter, monitor, or a combination thereof. Sorry if that is a broad spectrum, but I'd be willing to bet if you found a laptop and played your footage it would be okay. Anytime I hear green noise, DVI has been involved in the equation somehow. Are you using an ADC/DVI converter by chance?

We have 6 x 1 TB Lacie drives and every single one of them has the quirk (as Scott so eloquently put it)... "where sometimes it won?t mount to the comp but if you pull its power supply for a few minutes and try again its all there. Scary tho sometimes.." Sequence Settings>Video Processing See if the text on the right "Codecs which...material" applies to the codec you are currently using.

Is this the copy you have? Seems to work okay* for me going FCP 5 to AE 7 (just tried a quick test, not very scientific). Yeah it disappeared from Apple (main) and Automatic Duck's site.
