Wait there is a 2008 upgrade on that page, I will try that first. This may be a non-message!! It is early here right now! My Mac G5 died last week, so I got a "new" old one. I have started to upgrade the apps either through Software upgrade or manual search. As the person only had imovie8, he does not have the editing functions that Adobe Premiere CS4 or FCP 6 have. It's all sent back to the customer, it was a learning experience. Thanks for your advice. I have QT Pro on our Mac, but FCP 6.02 does not natively read mts files like premeire pro does. I settled on exporting 1440x1080 29.97 upper field Apple mov file h264 encoded HD anamorphic, but even at 12MBs data rate, the exported mov has taken a generation loss. It was just a couple of keyclicks to do this in premiere pro and i added this audio filter to the three mts clips. No video editing is required as these clips will be edited in imovie 8 on a mac laptop. It has all sorts of wind noise that makes it unusable. I know the lavs are a total different beast than booms, so I guess i will play with sound track pro. This movie was shot 8 years ago, and untill this point I had zero percent input into sound, vision ,or direction. These do not sound the same at all in FCP. Are there any resources available that may help me change the close-sounding lav to sound like boom? Plus it has extra channels, such as Z buffer, et al. I know after-effects can read this, but I am pretty sure you'd have to change it to something less "taxing" to get it into FCP.... When we go off tangent, we really go off-tangent! Ben Kingby mark@avolution - Café LA Re: Maya animation frame output format? - 12 years agoOne of my all time favoourites is to output a targa sequence. Then compile into a QT movie uncompressed, millions of colours +. This maintains the original uncompressed beauty of animation, the alpha channel for keying, and plays well as an overlay for video. happy day to you! If I am doing a slide show at 480i, for example, I make sure none of the images are greater than 900 horizontal (allowing for a 25% zoom-in factor). Of course there are always exceptions, such as when you are panning over a picture and then settling on a zoomed two shot, for example. But excessive resolution is an application killer. And this applies tby mark@avolution - Café LA Re: Premiere Pro CS6 announced - 12 years agoIt's probably quite obvious but you also need a Mac as well. As Premeire runs on a PC as well. With a compressor app, in audio effects, you can do wonders for too loud or too soft. I use it even if the audio is considered superb, as a compressor can really bring the sound into the mix. But that is just the way I do it in FCP! danajstrom Wrote: ----------------------------by mark@avolution - Café LA |
