Not registered? Click HERE to register now Scroll through fonts like you can in Photoshop - 14 years agoI need a way to choose a font, and that is what I mean by scroll. So far in Macworld, I have to select a font, say nah, reselect typeface, say nah again. Apple should try to have the Adobe products work with PC and Macs alike. We completed a three-screen project for a museum with three projectors. I wanted to go (800x600)x 3 screens 2400x600 but FCP complained about this res I ended up masking left, centre, right in FCP with the sequence set to 2048x512 and upressing the ProRes after the fact. I am happy to see that new XDCAMs are now 4:4:4 (no chroma-re sampling) This is a step up from 4:2:0, no doubt. My other editor is using Adobe Premiere on a PC i7, and can not read the XDCAM codec natively, so I thought I would set up a prores timeline and export directly to a directory on the PC. So, there is no render going on in FCP. I plopped all the raw footage on the prores timeline (at present 1440x1080 24p prores) then sent it to a batch export to his drive. With programs like 3ds Max, you have True 3D objects in 3D Space. To get the effects you describe in a 2.5D program like Motion require more workarounds. Maybe Motion 5 will add some 3D primitives like a sphere AND 3D mapping parameters. Honestly, from a strictly personal opinion I like FCP better for an editing platform; but like Adobe for After Effects. My biggest pet peeve about CS4 is its "native" XDCAM support- it has never worked. Nor will Premeire, or any CS4 app read a Mac encoded XDCAM file. I brought the proRes 422 into Adobe Premeire on an i7 PC, and then burnt a disk image/blueray. Then using imageburn I burnt the image to a DVD5 standard disk for a great looking 720p standard disk. If it is a buzz, it will contain more harmonics and possibly a niose gate will work. I know that when I go to FCP, if I don't like the gamma that QT chooses I can go and change to a custom gamma setting (of 1.56). This allows a perfect match. However, it is very important that regardless of the animation package that a) gamma correction is on b) gamma output on save file is set c) YOUby mark@avolution - Café LA |
