Exporting QT with TC - 18 years ago
Hi there, Okay so here's the deal I need to render some shots with an effect to make a new QT but I need to go back and online later. Is there a way to render a clip out and for it to have the same TC and log information as the original? If not would I have to manually enter in the data in FCP. Thanks, Emby emilyelaine - Café LA
Deleting extra audio tracks - 18 years ago
Hi When we digitized at HD 1080i then converted to 720p. Anyways when we digitized we got 16 tracks of audio. Is there a way to delete the extra tracks on the master clip either on FCP or in Quick time with out having to re-render all the clips. Thanks, Emby emilyelaine - Café LA

I copied and pasted it on another sequence and it seems to work okay now. But sometimes it's an on and off problem. It works and then it doesnt. The tool is the (A) selector. I just highlight the cut and use the arrows to inch it back and forth. I mean I could click and drag it, but it wouldn't let me highlight the cut.by emilyelaine - Café LA

As for lofts they are the "in" thing now. They've built some in the Hollywood area. I know that there are some new ones off sunset and vine and melrose and highland (I think). And there's a new artists lofts being built in the NoHo arts district, but I don't think they will be done in a for a little while. And there are some near Echo Park/silverlake area. okay. having problems with the trim tool - 18 years ago
Hi FCP 5 I'm trying to select the end of a clip the trim 1 or 2 frames it won't select it. I quit out of the program and restarted and it still won't let me select it, it won't highlight. I've trashed the preferences and I'm still having the same problem. It's killing me. Any solutions.by emilyelaine - Café LA
Saving preferences - 18 years ago
Hi, Is there a way in FCP (I'm running FCP 5.1.1) to save all the preferences set in the user pref, audio and visual setting, and system settings and then switching to another set of preferences without forgetting them. What I mean is that we have a day shift working on one set of preferences/settings and a night shift working on other projects with different settings. Really weird Offline Media problem - 18 years ago
Hello I'm running FCP 5.1.1 My bins are viewed in large icons. In one of my bins the picture displayed on some of the clips say that the media is offline, but when I click on the icon the picture changes from offline to the still of the clip and then other clips change to offline. And these switches occur everytime you click in the window or make changes in the timeline, they just switch froby emilyelaine - Café LA

I tried both, but it won't show the dupe frames. I cut the exact same frames together and it doesn't highlight that they are the same.by emilyelaine - Café LA

Sorry if these seem like simple questions, but I seem to be getting stuck on them. I turned on the dupe frames indicator, and it's not detecting the dup frames. My project is HD. Is this because I am not working with film? If I cut in 2 same clips onto the same time line it doesn't change anything there is no indication that they are the same piece of footage.by emilyelaine - Café LA
