Simple copy the plugins from this folder to the new computer: Macintosh HD / Library / Application Support / Final Cut Pro System Support / Plugins / It is a little more work with FxPlug plugins. These should be installed with the original installer.by Christoph Vonrhein - Café LA Re: fcp crash really need help - 14 years agoDid you do the "usual" things like trashing your prefs and repairing the disk permissions? The burn out effect looks like some light effects that are blown up in size and so they appear super big. There is nothing really special in the video... Pretty standard stuff. Pete is a former After Effects plugin developer before he joined the Motion developer crew. He is one of the masterminds behind Motion. So I would say that we can believe what he says. There is no reason for himby Christoph Vonrhein - Café LA Re: Shot logging on the iphone - 15 years agoAgreed. Mass market products for the iPhone need to be inexpensive (under $5). Special interest software, like this logger tool for FCP, needs to be more expensive because it will definitely not sell 400000 times like Pocket God did in the first week! The developer wouldn't make any money if such an app just costs $1 and consequently wouldn't develop the app in the first place. $30 is a good pricby Christoph Vonrhein - Café LA Re: Need a clever solution to this problem - 16 years agoIf the noise originates from the post-production process then you have a good chance to get rid of the noise with my NoiseReduction plugin (Repair-collection plugins). If the noise problem comes from the low-end projector, then of course my post-production/pre-projection NoiseReduction plugin can't help. -- Christophby Christoph Vonrhein - Café LA Re: Clip Name Superimpose Filter? - 16 years agoYes, it was just a thought to write a generator with an image well that just passes the video through and superimposes the name of the clip on top of it. I know this would also change the whole workflow, as you don't deal with your little clips anymore, but with lots of generators. And also (just pops into my mind): The generators have a default length when you apply them to the timeline, becaby Christoph Vonrhein - Café LA Re: Clip Name Superimpose Filter? - 16 years agoI also don't see a way to superimpose the original clip name with FX-Script. FX-Script just does not have any functionality to get the hands on the name of the used clip. FxPlug also has some limitations. With a filter there is also no way to find out the name of the clip, because this information is not provided by the FxPlug interface to the plugins. So make the credit roll go up by an even number of lines for each frame. This makes even a fancy font look good, because you won't see any inteference effects on the borders of the text. Here is my first experience after playing with it for two days: - Compared to the old G4 17" PowerBook, the mechanical parts of the MBP's display are better. With the old G4 PB I had some problems with the lock of the display and it also was a little "wabbely" when closed. All DVDs are coded in mpeg2, which is based on compressing YUV. So on your DVD will be no RGB whatsoever. If you edit in RGB, you will get quite some interestring effects, you dont want to see. "Banding" for example is a major problem in RGB space. Even if your source is a RGB source, I suggest that you edit in YUV for two Reasons: 1.
