Select the image, press Shift-F to reveal the source media in the Media tab in both the Layers tab and the Inspector. In the Inspector, you'll see the dimensions.by markspencer - Motion

Easy. Just put the playhead on a frame with no keyframe and make your change - it will shift all keyframes by that amount. Btw I read this forum every day.by markspencer - Motion

A dash on a group means not all the layers in the group are active. Sounds, though, like you have accidentally soloed one or more layers or groups. Select all your layers and groups, go to the Object menu, and choose Unsolo (can't remember what it's under in there, but it's there)by markspencer - Motion

You might want to check out some of the plugins available as part of FxFactory In particular, CoverFlux from Idustrial Revolution is free - as is Pan and Zoom from Noise Industries, and there are others there. You many have turned off your overlays - look under the View pop-up menu. Make sure all your 3D overlays are turned on as well.by markspencer - Motion

A Master template is NOT a transition and can't be used as a transition. You need to think of it as it's own self-contained clip that can't interact with clips before or after it, unless you create handles and add a transition to the edit point. It seems you are trying to do something for which the templates are not intended - perhaps instead you should consider using an alpha transition:by markspencer - Motion

The idea is to use content from your Browser, not the timeline - you can't have a clip go "into" the template and "out of" the template. Best way to use one is to select your sequence, then choose Sequence > Add Master Template. This brings up the Master Template Browser. Choose a theme, choose a template in that theme, and then choose how to edit it into your sequence.by markspencer - Motion

Haven't seen this behavior myself - I'd try trashing prefs: 1) Quit Motion. 2) Navigate to User/Library/Preferences. 3) Locate com.apple.motion.plist and delete it.by markspencer - Motion

PDF is a vector format, if you save your Illustrator files as .pdf, they will be vector in Motion, you just need to turn off fixed resolution. But Motion reads .ai files as well - you may need to first open and save them on a Mac, I've heard Motion won't read PC .ai files directly but haven't tested it...by markspencer - Motion

Make sure you are rendering at Normal quality for Motion projects (Sequence > Settings > Render Control tab) for most projects. Lots of vector objects (text, shapes) will slow things down, as will lots of blur.by markspencer - Motion

In the HUD, click down and hold down the mouse and you scroll through the list and your text layer will update as you drag - much better than AE IMHO.by markspencer - Motion
