I'm on FCP 6.0.2 I have a series of (roughly) 7 minute video segments (mini DV source) on time lines that I wish to export for downloading (sales) purposes to a web-site. My web gal says I should get each segement down to roughly 35MG. Anyone know the best way to do this....? From the Final Cut Pro menu, choose A/V Settings. 2. Click the A/V Devices tab. 3. From the Playback Output Video pop-up menu, choose Desktop Cinema Display - Full Screen . 4. I would like to get the best quality 7 miinute clip for my website. I am working on OS 10.3.9 FCP 4.5 on G4 laptop. I want to keep the exported clip to around 20megs. The clip when exported to mp4 is the right size but the quality is not so good. Anyome know of any other ways to export or tranfer andby michael rouse - Café LA Re: Quicktime Conversion - 17 years agoThanks Jude The footage is simply mini DV 40 min of raw footage shot on a Canon Camcorder of a rock and roll show. I will edit clips for the net on MP4's I will put the raw material on 3 DVD's if required. My experimental wish for no reason other than convience and experimentation is to put the footage in a quality state on one DVD. The thing is that someone ( who I have lsot touch with) converted a 60 minute segment into a toast image file (4.1gb) that seems to be of high quality, so just wondering wahat that trick might be.by michael rouse - Café LA Re: Quicktime Conversion - 17 years agoThanks for that Derek- Not sure what the difference is between Data and Video DVD. The DVD's I have holds 4.7 Gb I am working in DV NTSC The material I have is raw concert footage. I wanted to use the best quality possable so I could divide into two 20 minute segments, but they come in at jus t over 4.3Gb when exported as Quicktime so they don't fit on the DVD's. Just wondering any tricks to sliby michael rouse - Café LA Quicktime Conversion - 17 years agoHi: am using FCP 4.5 OSx 10.3.9 on G4 Laptop. I wish to export a 40 minute clip onto DVD if neccesary divide into two pieces. The regular Quicktime (when I divide in two) gives me just over 4.7 gigs (each piece) . Any ideas on how to slightly shave the Quicktime in conversion? thanks, Michaelby michael rouse - Café LA Re: Digitizing - 17 years agoThanks , sorry for the lack info I am actually capturing from my elura minicam (miniDV) connected by Firewire to my G4 Laptop. The info I was looking for was a listed system as to how to best organize original materials, capture and digitize. I am working from Diana Weynans FCPHD book which is good, but as I remember the instruction from here (FCPUG) it was more encompassing. It is not looking great but the 7 minutes was only 9.4 MB, so I may have room to pick up the frame rate. I don;t see a built in FLV in export menu but I did find FLC- not sure what that is but will try it.
