Click HERE to register now Re: Larry David, compressed - 15 years agoyeah, as i was reading the posts I started thinking about my workflow and getting something to dvd. and I started wondering if I was bringing in stuff at the best quality so that it was consistent when it came time to putting it on dvd. so that's where my questions came from. so far, stuff I've been putting on dvd look good but if there are better options to keep an eye out for it's always gooby PhillyFilmmaker - Café LA Re: time code burn - 15 years agoOn the subject of timecodes, is there a way to get the timecode to show on the screen bigger kind of like the way Pro Tools shows time/beats?? or is that some sort of plug in or part of some other software that works with FCP?by PhillyFilmmaker - Café LA Re: Larry David, compressed - 15 years agoI use the Canon XL2 and set it to 16:9 60i whenever I have to record company events. And while I'm on this subject, I sometimes also use the Panasonic DVX100B. But I usually use the 24p mode with this camera. What settings should I have FCP set on when I capture the footage to get the best quality? and the on the timeline? and then when I'm ready to export? At home, I have a basic set up. Audio Interface (mbox2 Pro), krk 4's, headphones. But at work I only have pc speakers and headphones. Do i need more? What are your thoughts on having your email and stuff on the same machine as your editing, audio, etc. ? Ideally I would eventually like to have a separate machine for editing, audio (sound/music) then a personal machine (laptop?) I have video that was shot with two different cameras in two different ways. A Canon XL2 shot as 16:9 60i and a Panasonic DVX200A shot as 24p widescreen. The cameras were used to record the same thing from two diff angles. So of course, the color, etc.. look different when I'm watching and editing. He videotapes company events. Training sessions. Sometimes does videos for users for specific things. Other people sometimes work with him but they're usually the people who requested the service. So he doesn't have a 'team' of people he works with. We also discussed whether the girl with the knife was really needed. for the music, I think I concentrated more on the italian guy having a deep low tone whenever he was in the scene with the exception of when he was talking to the character "Dominic" before he broke his neck. I know it's gonna take some work to improve those areas but I think we'll eventually get there. We actually are a collective with everyone doing a bit of everything. Sometimes text comes out all blurry and not as sharp.
