Again probably because the drive is too full and getting very fragmented. There should be a minimum of 10% free space on a drive used for production.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

The media hasn't been imported properly because of the overly full drive most likely. Use the reimport from camera function in the file menu. You select using original/optimized in the playback preferences. There is almost no point in using proxy media with AVCHD originals.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

I would suggest a mid-price AVCHD camera, assuming your computers have enough processor power for H.264 media. This will work well with FCP. iMovie will require more drive space as it converts the media.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

You use the camera import function and select the top level that contains the folder structure from the card. Do not go into the folder structure. There are free MTS players. Mountain Lion can play MTS files in QuickLook.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

This can happen of the app thinks they came from the same camera. Make sure the cameras have unique angle numbers and camera names. If the cameras aren't running matching date/time stamps, make sure content created is not selected as a syncing option.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

They shouldn't end up as separate projects, but as separate compound clips. You cut the compound clips into the timeline just like any other clip.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

Serious problem in 10.0.3 titles - 13 years ago
In 10.0.3 titles that have Build In/Out cannot be moved. They now appear to get keyframed if you move the content. For instance, the Overlap lower third. If you shift the text to the left to accommodate a lengthy name, the text then drifts across the screen as if keyframes have been added. Because you have to do it when you're half way through the title, you can't do it at the beginning or end itby Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

Use Title Crawl. In it's controls animate the last item. Can't remember what it's called, but you can set it to go from zero to like 95% and hold there.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA
