The tool has nothing to do with FCP7. The tool is exclusively for FCPX. It's EOL because Wes Plate has gone to work for Adobe.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA

Like films, new releases usually have strong numbers. In the US FCP is at 2 and Logic at 4, with Pages between them. The first non-Apple app is at 9: Pixelmator.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA

You can export audio stems. There is no chance Apple will revert back to a 7 type application.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA

Absolutely it was Jobs who removed Computer from the Apple name, and Jobs who declared Apple was a mobile devices company. We'll see if Apple moves back to making insanely great computers as well as insanely great phones and pads, neither of which BTW would I call toys, but rather the workhorses of modern technology.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA

You make the effect in Motion and publish it. It appears in FCP as a transition, effect, generator, or whatever you created in Motion.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

Normally if you put the same clips in the same location with the same name and properties the clips automatically reconnect. Where the clip modified in another app, or opened in something like AE?by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

So you're not cutting your video at all? Or are you cutting your video with the blade tool in the timeline? If you are doing the latter, then you are setting in and out points. Every clip in the timeline must have in and out points, either at the beginning and end of the media, or at some other points in the clip. Open a clip from the timeline into the viewer and you'll see the marked I/O. Mediaby Tom Wolsky - Café LA

Larry misunderstood the question. You can create a project in Motion that can be published, and it will appear as an effect or generator or transition in FCP, but you cannot import a Motion project into FCP as understood in legacy versions.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

In the inspector for the oval set compositing blend mode to stencil alpha. If you want to put a third layer beneath it select the oval with the comp mode and the fill layer and make them a compound clip.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

FCP does not accept project files from any version of Motion. You have to export or publish from Motion 4 to get to FCP.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

The mask shape can be changed by rounding. The controls go much further than the slider. Select the value and use the scroll wheel. You can easily make an oval.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

On your hard drive in the event folder there should be one folder for Original Media and another folder for Transcoded Media. Do you not have that?by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X

Cmd-T applies the default transition which is a cross dissolve. Use the Fade to Color transition to make a fade out/fade in.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X
