Open the Compound Clip and fit the title into it. Or save it in a project for holding things like titles and effects and such.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Changing Fonts - 13 years agoThe problem you're seeing with titles resetting was reported in the first version by a number of people. I have not been able to make it happen or seen the font reset problem on the machines I've worked with. You might try trashing your prefs and see if that helps.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Changing Fonts - 13 years agoCannot reproduce this behavior. Which title are you using?by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Time Code in FCP-10 - 13 years agoNo, it can't. It has no timecode reader effect, though probably one could be made in Motion.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: making a horizon straight - 13 years agoDouble click the value box in the inspector to select it. Use the scroll function on the mouse to move the value up or down. Also if you pull out the rotate handle you'll get greater precision as you drag. Holding the Shift key rotates in 45 degree increments as previous versions.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Richard Townhill discusses latest update to X - 13 years agoI think that's simply unfair. They have to create an XML format that's object oriented, which no previous version had to be.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Richard Townhill discusses latest update to X - 13 years agoPerhaps not quite seamlesslyby Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Should I get FCP 7? - 13 years agoYou cannot send an FCPX timeline to Compressor 3.5. You have to have Compressor 4. You can send to that. I guess Apple's sold off it's surplus FCS boxes.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: Black Magic or AJA - 13 years agoThat's what I thought. Thanks Jon. Not very clear from their web pages. A search box would help.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Black Magic or AJA - 13 years agoDo either have boards that will work with FCPX? Thanks.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Re-install FCPX - 13 years agoTrashing the app will not effect your work. Does the app appeared in the purchased page of the App Store? If yes trash it and reinstall.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Native HDV editing - 13 years agoWhen you capture HDV in FCP, the default is to capture in Apple HDV and not an intermediate codec.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: Native HDV editing - 13 years agoYes. The Apple Intermediate Codec is not native HDV editing. Nor should it be the codec of choice in FCP7.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: carnet? - 13 years agoWhere are you going to? What?s the gear? For a lot of gear get a shipping agent in the countries you transit.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: Anyway to save a corrupted project in FCP X? - 13 years agoWhat's the name of the project? Can you send me the current version.fcpproject file if it's not too large?by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Removing/Deleting 'Titles, Transitions and Effects in FCPX - 13 years agoIt's in user/Movies/Motion Templatesby Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Re-merge clip that I have Detached Audio from video..How do I put them back together again? - 13 years agoI agree there should be a way to do this, but you can't as the application is now. Teach folks not to break apart but too expand the clips.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Re-merge clip that I have Detached Audio from video..How do I put them back together again? - 13 years agoIs this video with sync audio? Why are you breaking it apart? Don't break it apart rather expand it. If you have to break it apart (not sure why you'd have to) you can merge them by making a compound clip.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: prores conundrum - 13 years agoIt won't install. You need 10.6.7 to get the App Store, which is the only way to purchase it and get the additional codecs. You don't need Lion, but you do need Snow Leopard.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: OT Quicktime versions - 13 years agoThey're build numbers. Most likely depends on the machine you're using. What OS is this? The current version is 10.1.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: Photoshop Multi Layered files coming in as a flatten graphic not a sequence. - 13 years agoThat's something you'll have to ask Adobe about. I believe Motion will accept multi-layers from either platform.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: What TV shows are being shot on what equipment? - 13 years agoThank very much for the list Andy.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: What TV shows are being shot on what equipment? - 13 years agoThank you all for responding. Very good information here. A little surprised how many are still on film. All the best, Tomby Tom Wolsky - Café LA What TV shows are being shot on what equipment? - 13 years agoCan anyone tell me that some of the US broadcast and cable TV shows are being shot on? I now House did an experimental episode on DSLR, but what does it use the rest of the time? Are are shot on RED I understand. Anyone which shows? Any information that anybody could contribute would be very much appreciated. Thanks. All the best, Tomby Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: Drop Shadow Control? - 13 years agoThe drop shadow function is not as straight forward as I thought it would be. I tried a simple publish of parameters, but it didn't come across. There is more to it than just turning it on.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Drop Shadow Control? - 13 years agoThere isn't one, but I think someone made one using Motion. You might try googling it.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: Saving Favorite settings - 13 years agoThey're saved in your preferences file. Use Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager to backup and restore your prefs as needed.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA Re: Rendering an 1080 HD in FCP X - 13 years agoRendering what? Open the background processing HUD and see what it's doing.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: FCPX Feature Wish List - 13 years agoNo. 35. Add handles. It's there. Sort of. Used clips doesn't mean a portion of a clip used in a project, it means the entire clip for which any part is used.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X Re: FCP X Fade in/out - 13 years agoSelect the edit point at the beginning or end of the project and press Cmd-T for the default cross dissolve.by Tom Wolsky - Café LA - X |
