I thought it was strange I got this request to make wmv. Who really uses that anymore anyways? oh well.by Laurie - Café LA QT to WMV - 14 years agoI know there, are converters that you can purchase to do this (I saw it on FAQ) but is there a free one out there that is reliable?by Laurie - Café LA Re: inexpensive tapeless cameras for students - 14 years agoI would recommend asking your question on dvxuser.com As far as cheap tapeless there are always the flip cameras but of course you get what you pay for. No light, no DOF, they are about $200 or less. If you can rent HVX 200A for a reasonable price I would go that direction.by Laurie - Café LA Re: livetype is motion? - 14 years agoyeah, i have the older serial number. I am going to give it a try. I wish they kept livetype seperate.by Laurie - Café LA Re: Audio from 50s 60s - 14 years agoI am having trouble finding the plug in to launch it. I downloaded the plugin did the whole "double click to install...Click agree to continue...your instal complete", thing. I waited and got the activation code. Now I can't find to plugin to put in the activaction code. I check the applications folder, found the folder to Izotope but it just has the read me doc and othe docs. Whereby Laurie - Café LA Re: Audio from 50s 60s - 14 years agoYAY Free Plugins I will give that a try. Thanks for the advice guys.by Laurie - Café LA Audio from 50s 60s - 14 years agoTrying to create a video that looks as if it came from the late 50s early 60s. How would you create the voice of the actors to sound like something from Citizen Kane?by Laurie - Café LA livetype is motion? - 14 years agoI upgraded to the new FCS 2 about a month ago. Yesterday, I was plugging way in livetype when I opened Livetype gain it asked for the serial number. I entered the FCS 2 serial and it didn't work. I called Apple and they said that Livetype is now in Motion. I was working off my old livetype. Will all my old livetype files work in motion now? I am the only one that didn't know the new FCS 2 haby Laurie - Café LA Re: Qt export come out vertically squished on Mac only - 14 years agosorry, I can't do to firewall issues here.by Laurie - Café LA Re: Qt export come out vertically squished on Mac only - 14 years agojust try the launch quickview. That is showing squished as well. I never had this problem until I installed Snowleopard, new FCP, and QT update. Unfortunatly I did them all at once so I don't know which one it was that triggered this.by Laurie - Café LA Qt export come out vertically squished on Mac only - 14 years agoI have the latest version of Os X, QT, FCS 2, and Snow Leopard. When I export DVCProHD 16;9 video as "Current" size h.264 best quality, the qt is HD but the video is squished vertically. Meaning that there are black bars on the left and right of the image, and image looks smooshed. When I take that same qt video and play it on a PC it looks fine, no black bars and it's not squished.by Laurie - Café LA Re: Recorded Computer Monitor flicker - 14 years agotoo bad there wasn't a way to just delete frames in a plug in. Like be able to delete 10 frames every 30 fps to match the rythm of the flicker then be able to duplicate the the remaining frames, then blend the frames so the motion isn't dramatically jerky. you all are probably looking at me like i have five heads but i'm just saying it would be niceby Laurie - Café LA Re: OT: Screen Capture... in layers! - 14 years agoThat?s a snazzy little feature there. Nice find Ben!by Laurie - Café LA Re: OT: screen recording software - 14 years agoCamtasia would crash for me when it comes to large recordings. It wasn't very user friendly or streamline IMO. I asked a co-worker to sum up Camtasia in one word and he nailed it, "Clunky" Snapz is impressive. I like the ability to select one window, mulitple windows, the whole screen, or a certain section. The price is nice too. I still feel that ScreenFlow is right for me. iShoby Laurie - Café LA Re: OT: screen recording software - 14 years agojust tried iShowU's demo. I am officially sold on ScreenFlow. Though I see what you mean about the rendering time (which wasn't too too bad), the quality of the video makes it worth it. I got that vapor trail look whenever I moved window in a recording in iShow. It is nice how iShowU works with FCP. However being able just to get what of effects and edits in ScreenFlop was a time savor for me.by Laurie - Café LA Re: OT: screen recording software - 14 years agoI just downloaded the Screenflow demo. I am impressed. I think will suit my needs much better than camtasia. iShowU looks good but Screenflow seems to be a few steps ahead. Thanks again.by Laurie - Café LA Re: OT: screen recording software - 14 years agoScreenflow seems to be the way to go. Look like they will be releasing an upgrade next week. Thank you so much for the break down. testimonials are always the best = )by Laurie - Café LA Re: OT: screen recording software - 14 years agoI was checking out iShowU. are there any hickups or issues with this software you have come across?by Laurie - Café LA OT: screen recording software - 14 years agoI have been using Camtasia for some of my projects. I haven't been too impressed with it. Are the others that you would recommend. I use it most for tutorials of navigating through software. I don't need it to record my voice but it's cool if it can. Thanks for you help -Laurieby Laurie - Café LA Re: wrong serial number for one machine - 14 years agoAh ha! That's it Tom! it's working now. Thank you everyone Go Team!by Laurie - Café LA Re: wrong serial number for one machine - 14 years agooh man, no luck. I deleted the Final Cut Studio System ID, empty my trash, and restarted the computer. It's still running off the wrong serial number. It's times like this that I wish command z would work.by Laurie - Café LA Re: wrong serial number for one machine - 14 years agowow you're quick. Thank you Jeff. I will give it a tryby Laurie - Café LA wrong serial number for one machine - 14 years agoMy work place bought two seperate FCP 7. After I put in the install disc, but before I put the Audio Content 1 disc, I found out that I was installing the wrong serial number for that computer. I was suppose to install the other serial number for the second FCP 7 we purchased. (long story on way what I did was wrong). I cancelled the install. Now when I put the install disc in, it doesn't ask meby Laurie - Café LA Re: OT - editors' T-shirts - 14 years agohow about a t-shirt of Bruce and have it say Yak-attack! FCP tame the beastby Laurie - Café LA Activating Title Safe - 14 years agoI have FCP 6, Mac Pro OSX. Latest software downloads I can't see my title safe in my canvas. When I scroll the menu down from my canvas title safe has a check next to it but it's unselectable (meaning the command is dull gray and not bold black to select it) My viewer's title safe is working properly. Any suggestions? Thanks = )by Laurie - Café LA Re: this looks so cool - 14 years agoThat is cool. Does the new FCS already have a stablizer in it, anyone know?by Laurie - Café LA |
