Re: My first Final Cut Pro X effect: An improved Mask effect - 11 years agoNice one man! I read about the Keyframe issue. There are a number of bugs with Keyframing across all the Effects and the Apple supplied mask doesn't currently allow animated keyframes either.by Ben King - Café LA - X Re: FCPX Feature Wish List - 11 years agoYes I came across that one Alex but its more a "currently selected copy" rather than say a generic copy and "Selected paste" of single or multiple copied FX. NOTE: Currently on the Feedback page Apple don't have FCPX as an option in the drop-downs or indeed the latest Mac OS 10.6.8 so be sure to fill the feedback to these in the text boxes.by Ben King - Café LA - X Re: FCPX Feature Wish List - 11 years agoLovin the BSG references Mr Wolsky...by Ben King - Café LA - X FCPX Feature Wish List - 11 years agoOk so we know there is a lot of functionality that is missing from FCPX but what are your wishes? Please try to keep your wishes as bullet-points and short; rather than long winded whinges. Also please do you best to check the feature doesn't exist before posting. Reading the manual is a good start. Here's part one of my list (in no particular order): ? Multi-cam functionality. ? The default for your MBP is 64bit with 32bit 64-bit Kernel and Extensions. Change it to 64/64 - however you should still be able to run FCPX without setting this. You can get it now if you are running Snow Leopard.by Ben King - Café LA Re: Does a macbook pro (2008) with 2.4 Ghx intel 2 duo have 64 bit processor? - 11 years agoYep Phil the i5 and i7 Processors and even the older Core2duo are 64bit processors. You might find depending on the age of your Mac Core2duo that you will need to get a little 32/64bit Kernel switching app or preference pane. I use SixtyFour Switcher: Not had a single issue with launching any apps; and under Snow Leopard (don't know about Lion yet) those Apps that require 32bit (such asby Ben King - Café LA Re: The Final Cut Pro X Bug List - 11 years agoAll flavours of XDCAM and XDCAM EX work fine when wrapped in .movby Ben King - Café LA - X Re: Is there anywhere you can still get the Avid $995 deal? - 11 years agoVideoguys.com have just sent me an email for the Avid Crossgrade try there.by Ben King - Café LA - X Re: OPPORTUNITY - WHO THE PRO'S ARE!!!! - 11 years agoExactly Josh... Certainly Online (web) content producers will be all over FCPX when they get past the whinging. Basically... if you don't have to use legacy projects if you don't do broadcast if you don't do film then FCPX might actually be perfect for you now (hopefully the other pro-markets soon!) FCP Express on steroids or the Real Deal. - 11 years agoMissing some serious deal-breaking key features that most of us need for Pro work and especially Broadcast features such as monitoring and output. Once these are addressed then the minor irritations of change are quickly forgotten as it is blazingly fast compared to FCP7, Avid and Premiere. Simply nest the audio clip in a new sequence add some audio slug on the end and add the reverb on to the nest.
