With your smi clip selected in the main window, go to logging and use the disclosure triangle to open up the subclips window in the lower right hand corner. Check the box next to your smi clip and the import button ceases to be grayed out. You are now free to import. Highlight sequence, then control click/settings. I did confirm the clip (using Quicktime movie inspector) is: DV 720x480 16bit Little Endian (Stereo LR) 48.000khz My camera doesn't even record 44.1!by Ken Kessie - Café LA Got a nagging sequence/clip problem. - 9 years agoWhen working on a new blank sequence, I insert a clip with a 48 k sample rate (according to the attributes in the browser). Final Cut (6.0.2) asks me if I want the sequence to match the clip settings. I select yes. The new sequence matches video-wise, but the sequence audio sample rate is now 44.1 K instead of the desired 48k. Tried every possible combination of camera & FCP settings for capture...never worked. iMovie capture worked instantly first try. Maybe there is a quality hit but it looked fine and edited fine.
