I had the same issue using file/import/sony xdcam transfer. Here's what worked for me. With your smi clip selected in the main window, go to logging and use the disclosure triangle to open up the subclips window in the lower right hand corner. Check the box next to your smi clip and the import button ceases to be grayed out. You are now free to import. The Sony video looks good but the sofby Ken Kessie - Café LA

Figured out how to change sequence settings in the browser. Highlight sequence, then control click/settings. So I can fix the problem but don't know what is causing it.by Ken Kessie - Café LA

I don't have any ftp resources. I did confirm the clip (using Quicktime movie inspector) is: DV 720x480 16bit Little Endian (Stereo LR) 48.000khz My camera doesn't even record 44.1!by Ken Kessie - Café LA

When working on a new blank sequence, I insert a clip with a 48 k sample rate (according to the attributes in the browser). Final Cut (6.0.2) asks me if I want the sequence to match the clip settings. I select yes. The new sequence matches video-wise, but the sequence audio sample rate is now 44.1 K instead of the desired 48k. What is going on here?by Ken Kessie - Café LA

I shot in HDV on HDV tape. Tried every possible combination of camera & FCP settings for capture...never worked. iMovie capture worked instantly first try. Maybe there is a quality hit but it looked fine and edited fine. Kenby Ken Kessie - Café LA

O.S. 10.5.8 FCP 6.02 Quicktime 7.6.4 I just upgraded to Flip 4 Mac Studio Pro HD 2.3.8.1, and started having Quicktime conversion crashes on a previously rock solid system. 2 questions... 1. Thanks in advance...this is the best forum ever! I'm upgrading to Final Cut Studio 2 and a Macpro 2.66 quad at the same time. No, I'm not in the middle of a project! The Macpro comes with OS 10.5 and Quicktime 7.2.1 installed. I am looking for rock solid stability. My question...should I stick with Leopard, or wipe and load Tiger?
