1920x1080p GH2 footage gets converted to 720 59fps through Log and Transfer - 12 years agoSilly question - there doesn't seem to be a preference in LOG AND TRANSFER to make sure my footage from the GH2 doesn't get converted from 1920x1080p (24fps) when it gets into my bin. Am I off in assuming I should be able to just capture the native files at 24p HI REZ through Log and Transfer. Thanks. Didn't know that. Renting a deck and outputting to tape isn't in their budget. (At least not from my end.) What FILE can I give them they can work with if I output from FCP? Can I output as Animation or some other format they can use? Does changing the format degrade the quality? The footage is odd compared to what I've cut in the past. 960x720 (DVD Pro HD 720p60) 59.94 fps I've cut the project and now the filmmaker wants me to output a master file for color correction on the Davinci. You can create then save an XML file of the whole project in FCP 6 and then import the XML file into FCP 5.1.4. What won't be included in the XML export file are any codecs or filters that are unique to FCP 6.
