I have not had any issues with it.by DCA_Film - Café LA Re: Dropped Frames on a MultiCam Edit using MacbookPro - 13 years agoAnother option would be to only have 1 track of audio, from time to time when editing a 4 camera multi on an older MBP and I get dropped frames. I output a single audio track and use that to my edits, and the dropped frames go away. Audio also takes up bandwidth.by DCA_Film - Café LA Re: 30 Second Video clip size aveage Mpeg2 1280x720 - 14 years agoBrightSign does play other formats other than mpeg2, it just wants to see a .mpg at the end of the name. We have created content 8 of them that are playing different bits and pieces of video and pictures. We are about to update all the content and do our testing again. The project has 23 menu's with 5 buttons to choose depending on questions brought up by the students. The educator, has the choice of next, back, movie 1, movie 2, movie 3, on all 23 menu's. We upgraded out video card, and that did away with the issues, you can't run 2 cinema displays with a 256 meg video card. You can run both but when you try to render any effects in a 10-bit or 8 bit for that matter you get the erroby DCA_Film - Café LA Re: Presentation with Freezeframes - 14 years agoWe do this all the time in an educational setting. We utilize DVDSP, have the video play to where they want the pause, then have the DVD go to a menu or in our case a still frame, when they hit next or enter its to the next a video track, and so on. I have tried a few different ways but this seemed to work best for OUR uses. Our projects tend to get pretty complex as we also have a simuby DCA_Film - Café LA Re: FCP 6.06 won't let me capture one full uninterrupted hour - 14 years agoYes FCP will indeed capture more than 65 mins. I just finished capturing 4 cameras that recorded almost 3 hrs a piece. With a Mac Book Pro, onto a caldigit VR. I would double check with your camera operators and make sure they did not turn off the camera not thinking about it when they re framed. We had to stop using a cam op when we found out that even though they "recorded theby DCA_Film - Café LA Re: Apple Pro Res or 10 bit uncompressed for DVD - 14 years agoWhenever I have set up a cluster, I have had to go to Qmaster Admin in the programs folder and set up a cluster. I have never heard that term before.by DCA_Film - Color Sending to Color - 14 years agoGreetings, I am sending quite a large project to Color, it is a Multi clip sequence that I am sending, I have collapsed the sequence prior to sending it, however I am finding one camera angle is being sent to color with the wrong time code, or should I say the footage is not what is in the timeline, there are a few minutes that were deleted (removal of a speaker or two). The deleted footage isby DCA_Film - Color Re: Magic Bullet "Instant HD" filter - opinion? - 14 years agoI have used it many times with success, we utilize the After Effects plug-in instead of doing it in Final Cut. You get the choice of AE or FCP when you install it. The only thing I don't love about it, is the footage needs to be progressive, so if you start with interlaced you have to do that conversion. There are different options and it takes some testing to get it looking best for your situatby DCA_Film - Café LA Re: OT: 60i vs 30psf, or "Why does my footage look like butt?" - 14 years agoJeff, Thanks for this!!! All of our Tape Logs are kept in FileMaker Pro.
