Hi - I need to reinstall software on one on my machines. A G5 Quad on 10.4.11 but I do not want to upgrade to FCP 6.0.3, the only updates still available on Apple's site (going to 6.0.3 would mean having to upgrade multiple machines which I don't want to do). I have all .dmg files for FCP 6.0.2 that I downloaded from Apple with my serial number but I can not locate Pro Apps Update 2007-02 on Aby The Lobby - Café LA

I went the very same thing but with the extra wrinkle of being a motorcycle rider too. I was able to find a backpack from Axio, that fits my powerbook, a gRaid all all of the required cables, mice etc. I even manage to get a small Wacom tablet in there. Google 'Axio Swift Hardpack' or have a look at some online motorcycle retailers.by The Lobby - Café LA

You probably could get the deck to reference input video for a sync source, there's no reason that it souldn't work. I however, would not try to make an output without a blackburst generator, I'm just wierd like that.by The Lobby - Café LA

zCover makes a silicon keyboard overlay too. nice thing is you can take it off and not have the rainbow bright keyboard all the time. about $50 shipped to you. the other nice thing is you can move this from one edit station a hell of a lot easier than you can a whole keyboardby The Lobby - Café LA

+1 for telling the avid editor to suck it up and learn fcp. i've come from an avid and avid DS background of 10+ years and i've been able to start HD onlining in FCP in a matter of weeks thanks to the FCP for Avid Editors book.by The Lobby - Café LA

Not sure what deck you've got but if it is an A500 or the Thompson equivalent, to stripe the tape with the deck itself try this. 1. pull the front panel out to expose the row of switches (you will find things like Ref Input and Presets for setup, chroma etc.) 2. locate the two switches toward the right hand side for TC and position them as "Internal" and "Preset" 3. with aby The Lobby - Café LA
