The timeline end is not the end of the timeline - 9 years agoI have a project that is an hour long but unfortunately my playhead continues about 90 seconds past the last clip in the timeline. There are no other clips or slug in the timeline after my last clip. I've tried deleting my last few clips and inserting them again. No luck. I've "arrowed" down to the next edit point and it just stops at the last clip and won't go any further though it doeby FilmBase - Café LA - X Deleting optimized/proxy files - 10 years agoIs there a way to delete optimized and/or proxy footage within Final Cut Pro X 10.1 or do I have to manually do it through the Finder by Show Package Contents of the FCP Library file? I've located a few plug-in folders and I'm not sure which is the one I need. I would like to trash the plug-in that captures an MXF file from a Canon XF105 camera and re-install it. Please bear with me as I try to explain this. In FCP X (10.0.7) I'll import my Canon 7D files with the Transcoding Preference>Create Optimized Media checked giving me ProRes 422 1920x1080 files. Thank you very, very much everyone. Based on all the comments, I'm just going to stick to Pro Res standard. The main reason I asked about Proxy was because I wanted to try the offline/online workflow just so I could learn it in case I were ever asked to do a project this way. Which, without really doing it, I learned a lot about it from all this feedback. Boby FilmBase - Café LA Re: Capturing Apple Pro Res 422 Proxy - 12 years agoThanks guys for the replies. I'm only losing timecode when I'm transcoding to Proxy using Compressor from Pro Res 422 standard. But I don't lose the timecode when transcoding thru Media Manager.
