Re: Slide-to-playhead? - 15 years agoPerhaps I'm missing the point but you could select your clip and move the playhead to the desired location and type command-x, command-v.by Ethan - Café LA Re: Outputting a PAL DVD - 15 years agoI explained to the client that they should be able to use the NTSC DVD's, but that wasn't working for them. My client has the client in Italy. So I don't get to talk to the end-user, and the middleman isn't so much help. I wouldn't say MOST dvd players play both formats, an informal poll of my apartment showed 1 out of 3 could. I accomplished this in FCP, but the clients client says the quality is too low, it's "jiggly and jumpy." Any suggestion as to a better way to convert. Here is how I did it, I made a Quicktime file, self contained, I placed that into a PAL timeline. I then enlarged the file to fit the tv safe line. I exported that quicktime file andby Ethan - Café LA Crazy Synch issues with export. - 16 years agoSo, I'm helping out a buddy. He shot some stuff on the HVX, and it isn't synching to second system sound. I look at it and some of it's too fast and some too slow. Somehow his setting's got messed with and he shot slow-mo on some. Any suggestions as to the proper way to do this?by Ethan - Motion Re: Capturing NTSC - 16 years agoI have been intermittently been having the same problem. I seen so many of these HD shows that can't afford/won't pay for a bumpdown to SD dvcam, The hvr-m15 does both, and does a down rez to SD too. Seems invaluable especially for delivering things like music videos and shorts. Not the P.A. someone threw the job at. BTW, there is a button on the Miranda for switching from HD to SD timecode out thru firewire. Which is what I am assuming was part of the problem.
