Where to get certified in something odd? - 11 years agoBrightcove and Vimeo and other video sites have a backend. My nephew asked me how does he get certified to manage those systems that deliver the videos. I was at a loss. I was thinking its a CDN ( content delivery network ) but i wasn't sure and also thought VDN. I do not know. So i am asking here. what prerequisites, certifications or degree is needed to manage video systems? It was quicker. I have an automator script that i will try to modify. Another thing about Lion. Be Prepared to clean house in Safari. However the upgrade nullified my r-name app. It was a nice app and used relatively often and it was FREE. You have introduced that file to a new project and now that projects metadata is what your are forming. Look at the same file in media info or a metadata reader. It could be misleading and playing on our hopes of a wonderful machine. Even if its iMac w/ a 30 inch screen and a quad 3.33, I am gonna have to go for it because i would have been forced at gun point to leave the MacPro. Wish i could get them to rebuild my 1,1 system as a 6core 3.33ghz. 1333mhz ram with the firmware for nvidia 5xx series, but its a pipe dream. Both of my systems are getting old MacPro 1,1 and MacPro 2,1. Its kinda odd that its the commercials that seem to have the most original content. I think in that format you have to be the kaleidoscope of originality. There are production houses out there that make a killing green screening from waste up and animating text ( lawyer commercials ). And i mean long. 1. export the clips with that actor in them 2. open those clops into AE. 3. With AE CS5 (and i hope you do have that version or higher or its hell to pay). In Ae roto-brush the actor and slightly feather the mask. LOTS OF TIME SPENT HERE. 4. export a tiff or jpeg sequence for the actor mask you just created. 5. You end up with a qt movie in the same codec as the tl. The xdcam is like 4:2:0 sampling. If it is not going to be edited out that dropbox, then h264 with a +1.0 gamma shift at 4000kpbs, in compressor. Other wise it cant be full 1080 and you could reduce the resolution to 720p and keep the XDCam native to to the camera. It will not be a lot smaller. The mac os is superior to window x. I would guess that a beefy imac can do anything that a norm workstation pc can so i can see them killing the Macpro based on imac. However i do not know if an imac can efficiently run 20million polygons with texture, animation and lighting. You cant come back now. FCP7 will be the best thing you ever made for editing. Now just give us an Ivy Bridge Macpro that uses nVidia, so you can redeem yourself and we can keep on using Adobe Premier..... i mean..... FCP8 / Final Cut studio 4. I have only used panasonic ( hmc150, hpx170, hpx500, gh2 ) and recently had a chance to shoot on arri and a red epic. if you were filming say running zebras in 1080p24 you will get more blur between the movement of say the legs cause the cpu has to create frames ( you get better interpolation from AE or Motion). Slow mo was acceptable but there were a few time that i wondered how much nicer it would be at 120fps. But if shoulder mount is important this will not be the ticket. And it will only do 24mbps as far as i know. There are some slightly awkward shoulder mout kits out there. I have 3 people that go out and find contracts for me within a small local market. What i have learned is that smaller clients like pre packaged pricing more than an hourly rate. But I am not as skilled as Joe or Jude who can probably get what ever they ask. Some have been to FullSail or a college to get graphics or production degrees. Others have a variety of function or software specific certificates.
