You have a license for QuickTime Pro already. It comes with Final Cut Studio. However, you need QuickTime Player 7 to take advantage of it and QuickTime Player 7 is not installed by default on Snow Leopard. You need to put your Snow Leopard disc in and install it manually.by Jon Chappell - Café LA

That article implies that switching to a 64-bit operating system would immediately allow Final Cut Pro to access the extra memory. This is not the case. Final Cut Pro would need to be recompiled as a 64-bit application and many of the older 32-bit-only APIs it uses would need to be replaced with 64-bit equivalents. This is not a trivial undertaking. Don't send the img file to your clients. Open the file in Disk Utility (inside Applications/Utilities) and click the Burn button. P.S. You may experience greater success by choosing a slower burn speed in Disk Utility. One thing to try is going to Build/Format and selecting Hard Disk as the output option. This will create a disk image that you can open up in Disk Utility and burn from there. But be aware that this error can sometimes indicate a physical failure with the device.by Jon Chappell - DVD Studio Pro

Canon cameras have a reputation for not playing nicely with other FireWire devices. Does the problem go away if you unplug the Firewire drives and capture to an internal drive or an external drive connected to a different type of port, such as eSATA or (gasp) USB?by Jon Chappell - Café LA

You can't always tell the cause of the crash from the crashed thread. Without the additional threads there can be a lot of red herrings. For instance, the thread may have crashed in a graphics routine so you tell the person to investigate their graphics card and drivers. No, the bug reporter can be used for feature requests too. There are "Enhancement" and "Feature (New)" categories for this very purpose. If you request something that has been requested before, it is marked as a duplicate. The features with the most duplicates get the most attention. I'm really not sure how useful Feedback is. You never hear anything back so you have no idea if anyone even read it. My personal preference is the Apple Bug Reporter because I know they definitely look at it and they sometimes even ask for more information if necessary. What is it exactly that you would like to keep track of? Simply the number of times a clip has been used, or more complex info like how often a certain part of the footage has been used, which timecode ranges are unused, etc?by Jon Chappell - Café LA

Always export to the newest version compatible with the destination application. For most purposes, you can get away with exporting the latest version and any unrecognized information will be flagged up but the application should still be able to read and process the file.
