.mov file with audio but black picture (yet it's all there in camera) - 10 years agoI have a Zoom Q2HD video recorder that I've never had a problem with in terms of using the files. However, today when I shot something and transferred it to my computer to play/work with, I can hear the audio but the picture is black. I can see the picture in the thumbnail and when I play it in-camera, it's there. When I open it with MPEG Streamclip, I can see/hear it. When I first imported, FCP asked if I wanted settings to match clips. I said yes. And, according to FCP, my QT vid settings under Sequence Settings are also h.264. Apparently something in the clip itself was changing the sequence settings so that the video processing settings were switched to 10-bit YUV rather than 8-bit YUV when it rendered.
