Re: Shooting at 60 FPS (Canon 75) to MPEG Streamclip to FCP 7 - 12 years agoDerek, Thanks for "dumbing it down". My bad for not asking the right questions.by Liza - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Re: Shooting at 60 FPS (Canon 75) to MPEG Streamclip to FCP 7 - 12 years agoI am failing to communciate properly: "Who told you that? Cinema Tools is an entirely separate tool with completely different functions. Whoever told you "Cinema Tools isn't as good" doesn't understand what the software is actually for. " I/we understand that Cinema Tools is a frame converion tool. I shouldn't have combined those two quesitons in one sentence. Againby Liza - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Re: Shooting at 60 FPS (Canon 75) to MPEG Streamclip to FCP 7 - 12 years agoThanks Derekmok. This is my first time using the camera. I was informed that the best way to get the file to ProRes 422 was through MPEG Streamclip. I was also informed that Cinema Tools wasn't the best? I will try everything. If anyone has a step by step cheat sheet on how to use MPEG Streamclip so that my 60FPS will play out slowed down (like over-cranking film) in the timeline of FCP I wouby Liza - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Re: Shooting at 60 FPS (Canon 75) to MPEG Streamclip to FCP 7 - 12 years agoOps meant Canon 7D - -but you probably figured that out.by Liza - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Shooting at 60 FPS (Canon 75) to MPEG Streamclip to FCP 7 - 12 years agoI need to check my workflow with: Canon 7D shot in 60 FPS - to - MPEG Streamclip - to FCP 7. Hello all. I have used some tutorials found on YouTube for MPEG streamclip to convert from H.264 to Prores 422 for FCP 7 editing, but I seem to be missing some steps. Does any have a cheat sheet / check off list to make sure all my settings in MPEG streamclip are correct in converting to ProRes422by Liza - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion Assisant Editor: Everything-you-need-to-know-books for FCP - 13 years agoOk, who has the latest and greatest of Assistant Editing Books in FCP that they think I should purchase. I know I am going to get a huge barrage of opportunities here for books, so bring it on! Sell me people! This will be of great help to know what I need to brush up on! I didn't win it in the last FCP meeting. Thanks in advance! Lizaby Liza - Café LA Re: Lap Top V.S. G5 Tower - 13 years agoHi Mr. King Thanks so much. HA! Just shows you how out of the purchasing loop I am. In all honesty it angers me that apple's strategy is NOT to help you keep your old equipment, but rather to make sure you buy new equipment. Argh! Too bad I can't upgrade. If I were to get a new computer I think going from FCP 5 to 7 would require two (2) upgrades and possibly cost the same as buying FCP 7 braby Liza - Café LA Lap Top V.S. G5 Tower - 13 years agoHi All -- before I ask apple is there any reason I cannot use the latest MAC laptop V.S. the G5 Tower for cutting? (Using FCP Studio 5). I wouldn't mind being able to leave my enclosed "office". I want to know if the latest laptop has acquired all necessary hardware I/O for decks and media drives, good through-put etc... Do I have to get the tower? Thanks in advance. L.by Liza - Café LA |
