Re: Clarifying the FCS Crossgrade deal - 17 years agoI felt the same way and upgraded even without faster horsepower. For instance, I cannot run Motion on my current system, so it lies sleeping in its snug l'il envelope, snoring lightly, rustling, twitching and yelping occasionally while it dreams. Can you play the tape out from a standard VHS deck? That should tell you something. Those concerned about pushing material out of synch who drag into the timeline need only watch *where* they drag in the desired track -- above the "magic line" will insert the material, below the magic line will overwrite, and the cursor will change to signal what's what. I do this all the time and love it. 7 times out of qo a center trim adjustment cures an audio hit. Up to 24 audio tracks can be carried with one video. Check your manual on how to create a Merged clip, which will act like any linked clip and show you when your audo is out of synch with video. 2) If your audio is overmodulated and clipping there sn;t much you can do, just bring it down to safe levels and live with it. 3) Worry about music and effects aby Loren Miller - Café LA Re: OT New mac pro predictions - 17 years agoThat's true but you get some interesting pro product premieres right there on the floor-- like the AJA Kona 3 rollout last year.
