Hello Loren, TEP doesn't work with PPro yet. Not sure whether it ever will work - reason: not sure whether PPro ever will work with any kind of captions reliably. One thing you can do: Download TEP, inside the app's folder you'll find psTitles. This app converts SRT, Spruce STL into FCP XML, EDL, Encore, DVDSP with layered TIFF files as reference. A title tool for Premiere Pro (public beta) - 7 years ago
I was asked to extend my title tools - so I did. With the introduction Adobe Premiere Pro 2017 the old Title tool was replaced by a new "Graphic and Type" tool. The old tool is still available, but there is no export of titles anymore. I agree with Shane's assessment, Yosemite it is not very QuickTime nor FCP7 friendly, although I got it to boot FCP7, I won;t be working there. Timeline stutter and other challenged behaviors. 10.7 Mountain Lion seems like the sweet spot, especially on older Mac Pro towers like my 2009 model 4,1 8-core with 24 GB RAM. Shane, That's what you wrote is only partially true. FCP it not that old it will run as 32-bit app on any current OS X version. FCP doesn't need to have QT Player 7 (or lower installed), nor does FCP X needs QT Player X, Both FCP 7 and FCP X use Quicktime and both of them will do in the future. OT: Beta update for X-Title Extractor for Final Cut Pro X - 9 years ago
I've created a new version of X-Title Extractor – it's beta. The older versions were all based upon the release of FCPX 10.0.1 which had a poor XML support. Later versions added the XML features of 10.1.x. So the app became quite a moloch. So I rewrote finally more or less the complete app. It doesn't do the complicated analyze of Motion Titles any more. This is a known bug. I (and hopefully others) reported. There are not a lot of options to work around. You try me X-Title tools to extract timing and text with X-Title Extractor, then use the created SRT file and X-Title Importer to import the subtitles with new settings. - Andreasby Andreas Kiel - Café LA - X

Hi all, Lately questions showed up on several forums how Libraries or Projects can be transferred to another computer, or used by multiple users on the same computer. In principle, this is not a problem especially with 10.1.2. What can be fatal or at least annoying conditionally, is the use of Effects / Templates. Few weeks ago I was asked how to get a text chapter list out of FCPX. I built a little app which is able to do that beside several other things. Now last week I was asked how to export each chapter as movie. I thing everybody knows the answer. I/O, Share enter the name and tags and go. Few days ago there was a thread about showing/hiding FX on fcp.co. Same time I got some mails from FCP users whether my old tool for FCP would work with FCPX. This old one wouldn't work cause of the differences in XML. But since 10.1.x the XML's features come closer to those ones from legacy – though even Apple states that they aren't perfect. I would go the way Vance suggested. Its not that difficult. Create a a new sequence matching the settings of your original sequence. Copy a subtitle from your original into the new one. Export as XML. Now in FCP modify the generator settings till they match your needs. Export as XML again. Open both XMLs in TextWrangler (free) and select compare front documents. The new version supports 10.1.x subtitle font and style settings. So its the first app on the market which makes use of this new feature in FCPX 10.1. The app makes it easy to transport the settings inside subtitle source files directly into a FCPX timeline/project using XML. Thanks Mark, As I replied to Alex I wasn't aware that with 10.1 any import thing could be copied to any location you want. Shame on me. The other thing is to change links of your choice quickly. (I copied my post's text from an email I sent and missed the last line: "You can use Consolidate as well."
