Re: Weird: Hiding FCP makes it inaccessible again - 14 years agoI hope it doesn't repeat itself, but if it does will let you all know. Painfully putting all my Prefs back... and yes, making a copy of them this time.by eyeseesound - Café LA Re: Weird: Hiding FCP makes it inaccessible again - 14 years agoOk, just trashed my preferences and it's fine now, though I hate having to go back and redo everything I did setting it up the way I like it. But any ideas why this might have happened, or is it just one of those bit of binary randomness that 'just happens'?by eyeseesound - Café LA Weird: Hiding FCP makes it inaccessible again - 14 years agoHi. From earlier today, if I hide FCP then I can't get it back. Clicking on the icon on my dock won't bring it back up and won't even let me quit it. Using the Apple+TAB option won't open it up when i land on the FCP icon. All I can do is Force Quit it and restart it. Weird. And why? Anyone had this experience. I haven't done anything different today from the last 6 years! Using FCPby eyeseesound - Café LA Re: Delivering for PAL and NTSC - 14 years agoDidn't even think about the htread being jackd If you guys got something useful from it great. Thanks for the info. I'm using HDV though. As it goes from other feedback i've bought Nattress now (yep, all of him, going to put him on my shelf like a bonzai tree) as it appeared that it was faster and I have other filters of his which are great and the consensus was this one is great too. I exported the timeline as ProRes422 then set up a custom in compressor to encode it as ProRes at 29frames then used that file (my NTSC prores file i guess) with the DVD presets and it worked. Testing it here on my PAL DVD player (apparently most PALby eyeseesound - Café LA Re: Delivering for PAL and NTSC - 14 years agoOk, i've done a bit more reading and some experimentation. I exported my timeline through compressor using the HDV 1080i60 Advanced Format Conversions setting. I then put this in a new timeline, changing the settings of the timeline to that of the file (when it gave me the option) and exported this through compressor using the DVD: Best Quality 90 minutes DVD setting. I changed the videoby eyeseesound - Café LA Delivering for PAL and NTSC - 14 years agoHi all, apologies if this is a bit of a simple question but it's not something i've ever had to consider before now (6 years in and dodged that thought process). We shoot in England on Canon A1s and Sony Z1s in HDV. I capture in FCP 7 using the HDV 1080i50 Easy Set up. I then edit my piece and use compressor to export it as a m2v and ac3 file which i import in DVD studio. I then have my vidby eyeseesound - Café LA Re: Problem with FC7 share... or just a problem with me and/or my mac - 14 years agoThen I shall just have to wait Cheersby eyeseesound - Café LA Re: Problem with FC7 share... or just a problem with me and/or my mac - 14 years agoWell, glad to know it's not me, but a bit bummed that a great feature is actually a bit redundant. I wish marketing people actually told the truth. I'd still have bought the upgrade, obviously, but i wouldn't be so disappointed right now. Thanks for the reply.by eyeseesound - Café LA Problem with FC7 share... or just a problem with me and/or my mac - 14 years agoHi all. love the the idea of the share option, being able to export and carry on editing. But it seems when i do use it and start work again, i can't really watch clips as the video freezes after a couple of seconds. the clip continues to play and i can hear the sound, but no picture, just the point it froze at. my mac is an intel 2 x 2.26 quad core with 8 gig of ram, so i figure i'm kind oby eyeseesound - Café LA |
