If you come from Fcp you can leave "a" and "s" as they are ... but switch "up" arrow to "Fast Forward" and "down" arrow to "Rewind" . In "Settings" / Composer / FF/REW thick " Ignore Track Selectors" ... it will behave like Fcp under your fingers.by Francois - Avid Media Composer

At the bottom of the Sequence Text behavior control in the HUD I can choose " Position type " : "absolute or relative " ? I wonder what this would be ... can't find it in manualby Francois - Motion

Humm... you should be able to find the function in personalizing your keyboard and assign it to a free "spot". then adding cmd will make it permanent (you'll have to re-assign it too)by Francois - Café LA - X

Erik, are you working with a Qwerty keyboard ? (with Latin keyboard it's " cmd <" ) If you have a Qwerty keyboard and still can't make it work.. you need to start from a fresh new (personal) Keyboard in FcpXby Francois - Café LA - X

don't get it I have my subs as pict and my STL (all from Belle Nuit) in a folder I "mix" it all with your app... obtain a .fcpxml but when I try to import that XML into Fcp X I get this message : Error in FCPXby Francois - Café LA - X

Thank you for that guidance Andreas. I can that see that, for the time being, co-working on subs is not an easy thing with Fcp X. I thing making it possible trough Title Exchange would be worth it.by Francois - Café LA - X

I have lots of subtiles to generate on Fcp X "projects" (Sequences...) Somebody, (not an editor), is going to create them in some text editing app. I need to provide him with a workflow. He needs to play the QuickTime movie I will export for him. Navigate inside easily, "frame accurate", mark the in & out for each sub, write the sub... Then give me a XML fby Francois - Café LA - X

I am no sure to fully understand you... did you read point " 2 " above ? The FcpX project doesn't let you pick anything related to ProRes or any codec ! The FcpX project - it self - cares about - Format - Resolution - Frame Rate and you can render and / or export ProResed as you want. hum... let's answer Rignold question 1 - At import, checking "Create Optimized Media " will give you ProRes 422 2 - When you create a new project the choices have nothing to do with the codec. The FcpX project is codec agnostic. 3- When exporting... then you can choose what ever codec you want, including any flavor of ProRes. (Including LT)by Francois - Café LA - X

Using Motion 4 to bring in image sequences right in Fcp7 is great. Just "edit" one image (the first) ... in your timeline, (duration of the image sequence) it's just a placeholder Send to Motion, drop image séquence in project, delete placeholder, save, done ! you are back in Fcp with your image séquence as a Motion project in the TL some say : I have to transit through an oby Francois - Café LA - X
