Re: specs for delivery of Quicktime files - 13 years agoHi John, I thought the same thing and told the producer that the people sending the footage don't know what they are doing! I've never run into this question nor has it ever been a problem. The footage, I found out last night, is mostly music videos coming from different record labels or people representing recording artist. When I said "DV/NTSC OR DVCpro 50, 720 x 480" I was told that was not enough information. What bit rate should they use? Any other specifications I should provide? As for the HD files that are Quicktime, again someone asked what format should they send? "Okay...throwing out a question now to FCP 6 experts: I'm trying to compress on FCP 6 from NTSC to PAL using Compressor. My first try gave me a squeezed (4:3) look instead of the 16:9 we shot in. Since I am receiving the commercials from the ad agencies on DVCam / miniDV is there a way to maintain the Closed Captioning?by Lisha - Café LA Re: closed captioning on MiniDV - 14 years agoSorry. When I capture the commercials from the miniDV or DVCam tapes is the closed captioning automatically captured? Some of the commercials are on miniDV, others on DVCam. The slates all say CC. How can I use the CC? Once I've finished the editorial I layback to DVCam and deliver to a post house for CC of the program and satellite delivery. As always, thanks in advance.
