Sorry I forgot what site I was looking at. Anyway Spinning drives in your configuration may fail and take out the whole Raid That's less likely to happen with the SSD's With the SSD config your getting almost 3X the speeby Dean - Café LA - X Re: Hard disk where your library is located is unavailable. It may be .... - 8 years agoYou don't have to worry about the serial number for FCPX I don't even think there is one it's all dependent on your Apple ID. If you delete it and go to the App store (for Mac) you should see install and not $299.00 I just did this yesterday with one of my customers. After that if it still gives you errors try and open from a back up you might lose maybe 15 minutes of work. The Back ups SHOULDby Dean - Café LA - X Re: FCPX capabilities - 11 years agoI like to use a Project as a final sequence. Within the events I may create if I need them, compound clips and use them as sequences that I can edit at at time and edit into my project. So my Compound Clips are my sequences. I can duplicate projects and edit them as needed. I also use Event Manager X to move projects and events in or out of FCPX when needed.by Dean - Café LA - X Re: 4K TV's, but few 4K Cameras?? - 11 years agoMMM but doesn't the GoPro record 4K an a creamy 12FPS?by Dean - Café LA Re: The Most Universal Codecs - 11 years agoFCPX can handle mpeg4 files fine .H264by Dean - Café LA - X Re: Free plugins for Premiere Pro CS6 - 12 years agoIf you are using Plural Eyes 3 with Premiere Pro CS6 you can install the Plural Eyes connector it's actually in the installer DMG in the Extras folderby Dean - Adobe Premiere Pro CC Re: Adobe Anywhere - 12 years agoLooks like the Amsterdam super meet footage of adobe went up last night on Moviemachineby Dean - Adobe Premiere Pro CC Re: Macbook Pro or Custom MacPro??? - 12 years agoWe just got new 27" iMacs in our store with fusion drive and It's FAST as far as launching goes anyway FCPX takes about 4 seconds. Thought it might be under DVD, but nothing there. I guess write a file but which one and use Toast. Is it not in the Destinations ? The website shows it that way. Edited: I just installed FCPX 10.0.6 and in the share menu you can add a destination and choose BluRay then you have access to it.by Dean - Café LA - X OT:RIP Sheriff John - 12 years agoI was never afraid of the Doctor or the Dentist because of Sheriff John. That transcode shouldn't take too long maybe an hour and a half but you should still be able to work off the card while it encodes I do it all the time.by Dean - Café LA - X Re: Share to Youtube problems - 12 years agoI compress my movie and I do all the LAFCPUG meeting movies in either Compressor or Episode sometimes Adobe Media encoder and then open the YouTube page in Safari an open the upload video page and the drop in my file. I use a 1920 X 1080 .H264 file in most cases. Works great. Encore has a small learning curve and I find it to be very similar to DVD Studio pro. I haven't done it but I believe that Encore will encode the video as well.by Dean - Café LA Re: FCP X lag/pause while editing multicam - 12 years agoI was going to suggest creating proxy media and editing using proxy but it looks like you figured it out.
