Re: opening project files with both CC and CS6 installed - 10 years agoHi Joe, You're correct about this. I'll look into this. In the mean time, you can open the project file from within that version of Premiere Pro. Yes, CC is not for everyone G-Joe, but it does work for a good many of our users. You've got to try that C-4D integration, BTW. Moving a clip up a track seems to be a very popular one for those switching from FCP to Premiere Pro. It's funny 'cause that feature didn't even come in to FCP until a number of versions. Now it's the one that is missed most. With XML and the Open Sesame Script, you can safely move projects to previous versions (minus any new features, of course). It's a great deal, especially if you upgrade every year anyway. CMD+D is the keyboard shortcut I have assigned for adding transitions to a cut. If you want that functionality, file a feature request: The way we add transitions to edits is to park the playhead on an edit point and type CMD+D.
