Re: DVCPro HD Offline workflow question - 12 years agoAJA system tool usually shows me about 144 MB/s read/write using DVCPro HD 1080i60 set to write a 512 MB file. I think our array is striped as RAID 1. It's a total of 16TB mirrored. Here's the read out from AJA System Test: I/O Transactions Frame MB/sec Read Write 00.0 209.7 142.3 01.0 197.0 195.4 02.0by chrismrash - Café LA Re: DVCPro HD Offline workflow question - 12 years agoIt's possible that the issue lies with what's in the sequences in addition to the multiclips (ie. gfx, text, etc.). There are two AE stations in addition to the two editors. I can't imagine what would be wrong about our SAN setup. Here's the setup: I'm post supervising a game show and up until now we've been bringing in our DVCPro HD 1080i60 footage at full res and cutting full res. The show shoots 6 ISOs, a line cut and a clean line cut. Our editors want the AE's to mulby chrismrash - Café LA Re: DVCPro HD - Long Play comparable to Standard Play? - 12 years agoLuckily we'll be recording the 6 isos as well, so if there's an issue with the Line Cut, we'll have the iso to go back to. If we start getting too many dropouts after the first couple days, we'll just have to bite the bullet and buy more stock. Thanks guys!by chrismrash - Café LA DVCPro HD - Long Play comparable to Standard Play? - 12 years agoWe're about to start production on a game show, which will air on one of the Discovery networks. In order to save money on tape stock, one of the technical managers at the stage recommended to us that we use the Long Play setting on our 1200A. He said that there wouldn't be a noticeable difference between LP and SP modes. The plan is to record our Line Cut in both LP and SP (using two decks) fby chrismrash - Café LA Re: Offline RT from HDV footage - 12 years agostrypes Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Pop it into Compressor, select a destination and > make sure it is named exactly as your original HDV > clips.
