Thank you both for your advice. SInce my frenzied post I have managed to capture picture, but can't get it to play back on my external monitor. And when I manage to capture video, audio capture ceases. Wierd, huh? I believe 24f Canon capture CAN be done this way thru SDI and using Mac internal sound capture -- others greater than I have done so. Just not me so far. I'm attempting to capture 24f material from a Canon XLH1 SDI port through a Blackmagic HD Pro card into FCP 5. I am using the sequence preset DVCPro HD - 1080i60. I am using the Capture preset DVCPro HD 1080i60 48kHz. My video playback is set for Blackmagic HDTV 1080p 23.976 -> 29.97 output - 10 bit (1920x1080). I am capturing sound through the internal Mac port. My huge problem is thatby harry323 - Café LA
