I'd also like to suggest getting a good Powered FireWire Hub so it's not daisy chained although I have a GL2 I used to use it on my MacBook through Mike Hortons Lacie Drive (Bus Powered) through Vee Scope Live and back and it always worked fine. Just a thought.

It fixed my issues with my Canon 60D Raw support in Aperture. You know we need to use stills as well? No issues with FCP so far.

Cleaning the Mighty Mouse ball is easy turn it upside down an roll it over a clean cloth with iClear on it. I have been using the Logitech MX Mouse that has a velocity scroll wheel so I can flick it and it keeps spinning lot's of buttons and features and comfortable. Logitech's chargers seem to suck badly though I have problems getting this mouse and my Harmony remote (made by Logitech) to make t

I went to the movies the other day with my son at the $3 theater the seats were OK and the projection was quite bad and as a shooter and editor I was watching all the bad look of the movie for a while until I fell into the story and the visuals or sound (which was good) didn't matter at all any more.

I couldn't even install Studio on my Mac Book. On a Mac Book Pro if you get this dialog box you can go into the Energy Saver and enable the High Performance radio button and the Mac Book Pro will be happy. The Mac Book unfortunately does not have this ability.

J I have an Intensity card not the Pro but I find I get a much better signal to my HD Monitor when I have my Camera plugged in and turned on to the input via HDMI. You might give that a try.

I wouldn't necessarily purchase the most expensive firewire cable but if you are using one of those skinny apple firewire cables I would definitely Not use it. I was once Transferring data with one of these cables and it took almost 1/3 as long as a thicker cable that I believe have better error correction as they have more wires inside.

I want one as well. Rick Young has a review (Movie of the Week) on his site from a few weeks ago. macvideo.tv I would if I get one transcode to Pro Res since it's shooting to AVCHD at 24mbs. I'm pretty sure I have seen Samy's Camera with a price of around $3,900.00

Is the TV plugged into the cable system to watch tv as well? As soon as i removed my TV from cable all hum went away. Koz helped me with this years ago. The cable system can cause some serious ground loops, I suppose an antenna as well.

I'm glad Rick was able to chime in here, As I get to use his cameras and although I haven't edited the footage I really like shooting on these cameras. I can hand hold them easily and the footage is beautiful. I have watched Rick edit the footage on his Mac Book Pro and there is no issues and it's fast. Great Cams, Great Price and better workflow.

Fry's today has although you stated you needed 4TB 1 TB Hitachi drives on sale for $69.00 I'm about to get me a couple. Hope you all have a Fry's in your area.
