I have all Seagates in my Mac Pro and after 4 years they are all running Fine. Although some of the drives are only 1 to 2 years old. But I don't hammer them all day long like Joe does. But I do hammer them.by Dean - Café LA

You may even want to look into a different mouse. Contour designs has much more ergonomically designed mice in different sizes and learn to hold it properly. Although I use a Logitech MX Revolution with a Contour mouse pad with a wrist support.by Dean - Café LA

I Like the Ripple Training Stuff I got certified reading the Diane Weynand books and like the Lynda online stuff as well. There are some old free tutorials at Ripple but still are the basics of FCP.by Dean - Café LA

The SL install is quite a bit different I don't think there is an Archive and install only a Clean install if you go into options or update and SL throws apps ect.. that are not compatable into a in-compatable folder or something to that effect. No just a back up drive like as in back up drive 3 My main drive is backed up to a firewire drive. + I have the luxury of using all the apps at Apple on many machines in store. Anyway so far FCP 7 has been running great on Snow Leopard for me.by Dean - Café LA

Yes did home work. Since I teach at Apple I need to know the OS. So far it seems my Cal Digit Fasta 2 card is not working so it seems. It's used for back up drive though so not too big a deal.by Dean - Café LA

My Canon HF10 stream files are .MTS and I either Log and Transfer in FCP from the camera or SD HC card and convert to ProRes.by Dean - Café LA

I don't have the URL but I saw some guy in Holland had hooked one of these cameras up to a Redrock Micro rig with some nice lens' and stuff made a little camera look big and almost professional he swore shots looked great. Philip Bloom one of the hottest video guys in the UK had one of these cams at NAB and loved it.by Dean - Café LA

I'd get a Canon GL2 I use mine for all the LAFCPUG meetings and they go to web and you can shoot anamorphic if you want them to be 16 X 9. Easy in DV as well.by Dean - Café LA
