Re: OT: Web hosting - 15 years agoDo you ever run into people who dont have QT and can't play your video? If so, how often? lol! I had to laugh... Good question. I have friends that use that Bill Gates OS and can't run QT movies online. I tell them to download the QT player and they have a hard time installing it, so they give up. I really can't help them because I have very little experience with PC's. I don't know why it's sby Russ Blaise - Café LA Re: OT: Web hosting - 15 years agoWayne & Joey, Thanks for the info. Right now I'm using webmasters.com ($119.40/year) and I just renewed. But I'm alway looking for something better. The only real problems I've had is when I signed up for true video streaming at $5 a month. I had to keep going into the control panel and do a restart. I got rid of that service. webmasters.com 1000 GB a month bandwidth 100 GB of storaby Russ Blaise - Café LA Re: OT: Web hosting - 15 years agoWayne, I can really see the difference between the two. This is my second surgery on the same disk, Ouch! It sounds like to me it doesn't matter what the sequence preset are but it's the video output that needs to be set to one of those that are listed for the "Intensity Pro" card. Does that make sense? If that's the case, I can live with that :-)by Russ Blaise - Café LA Re: Blackmagic Intensity Pro card info help needed... - 15 years agoSounds good Niko, let me work on that today. I'm not able to sit at the computer very long due to I just had back surgery... thanks :-)by Russ Blaise - Café LA Re: Blackmagic Intensity Pro card info help needed... - 15 years ago"I meant 1080p60/50" Sure, but I'm still out of luck using the "Intensity Pro" card. Does translate to NTSC video nicely and can be modified to 60i very easily. But the bottom line is, that Intensity Pro card won't give me a preview using a different format unless it's the formats listed?by Russ Blaise - Café LA Blackmagic Intensity Pro card info help needed... - 15 years agoI've been going back and forth with the sale representative about the Blackmagic Intensity Pro card. I asked: "I am interested in the "Intensity Pro" card and really only have one or two questions. I've read some reviews about the 2408 from different sources saying that the "colors are almost neon", "tricky to get the best colour output", "bright enough to toast bread" (I like that one), "blue cast" and so on. I would buy another 2407 but they don't make them anymore so it looks like I have to go with the 2408WFP model. The 2407WFP has been working out great for me, just wondering if any 2408WFP users out there and how they like it. Please don't suggest me buying a monitor from Apple. I use webmasters.com and it doesn't work very good at all for streaming QT videos. It shuts down all the time and I have to go in to the control panel and restart it. My main monitor (Dell 24" is connected to the ATI 3870. The other two ViewSonic 19" are connected to a NVIDIA 7300 GT. I only use Motion and FCP on the main monitor. Probably the most important hardware needed to run Motion is the Graphics Card. If you want to run two monitors off one card I'd change that HD2600 to a, ATI Radeon HD 3870. It's the best card right now for Motion. It has 512mb of Vram so you should have no problems running two monitors off it. Hoby Russ Blaise - Motion Re: OT: Dual monitors - 15 years agohmm... I run three monitors. My main monitor is on a card (ATI Radeon HD 3870) all by it's self. The other two monitors are on a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT. I've never seen any problems with this setup. Maybe get a second card for the other monitor? Also, if you are using two monitor on one card, the Vram is cut in half.
