I will guarantee they didn't sync that audio. Probably a Resolve loop de lou is proscribed her here for your sequences. I may be off base but you made merged clips with the synced audio. I'm not super versed in this, but there may be an ignore tracks in the re-link dialogue. Otherwise use resolve re-link and send back to Premiere or just continue in Resolve or, maybe they could, from Resolvby Ethan - Adobe Premiere Pro CC

Another solution might be to go to Adobe Premeire. I am not a huge fan of it, but you won't have to transcode to start. I'm not sure how it will handle the two different time codes but you could probably just handle the footage you do use in a separate pass. The audio synch feature is also a nice little time saver. This is an inevitable move to either adobe or FCPX. Why not make it now, iby Ethan - Café LA

ACH Don't do any of that stuff Download Davinci Resolve (FREE) and use it for converting. Then consider just editing in Resolve next time.by Ethan - Café LA

There's an acknowledged maximum project file size. I want to say it is 70mb but I see where some say 100mb. In addition FCP7 can throw that error when it runs out of graphic card memory. Which may require some flattening to keep you from going crazy.by Ethan - Café LA

Avid support created a new Log In and that allowed Avid to work normally. So it was some sort of corruption in my log in settings. That's the first time that particular trick has ever worked for me. And I thought something like that would be fixed by a complete re-install of software, but not so.by Ethan - Avid Media Composer

I changed nothing on my system. I just came back the next day to this, crash. I have uninstalled my Matrox card deleted its drivers. I have re-installed AVID MC 8.4.2 and then MC 8.4.5 Digital Rebellion says this is this relevant line: 1 libAvidDX_VDM.dylib 0x0000000244af8811 GetAvidDXinUse() + 119 I have a backup drive at MC 6.00, but this project has some of the newer codecs in it, aby Ethan - Avid Media Composer

I have two shows shot on C300 which have been cut offline at DnxHD 36, and will be onlined/conformed and color corrected. With what package I do not know. I have titles received as png sequences. What should I Import them as? DnxHD 36 something higher, or 1:1?. No network is involved just cutting on a drive.by Ethan - Avid Media Composer

This is why my flat fee is always for delivery of first cut, and there after its a weekly or daily. I know that doesn't do you any good now. My explanation for this is I don't want to be in the position of having to choose between doing what I'd like to see done and paying my mortgage. I don't understand you delivered lock. I Had a very similar experience. My words where, "Truthfully I am disappointed." Why, "In places it is wildly inappropriate." He went on to tell me how great it was but it's ok he realizes different people have different tastes. I was just wondering about this same point. I've got a 5k project and I started my first timeline at 5k RED, and then after reading around a bit thought I might have a more responsive system using a 1920X1080 RED timeline. Although the 1920 timeline doesn't seem to have offered an appreciable difference. I might be able to just put the 5k timeline nested into a 1920X1080 timeline for expoby Ethan - Adobe Premiere Pro CC

Sorry man I don't think there really is a mechanism like you describe. You could probably submit the transcript of the doc to the DGA... and force them to give you a writing credit. And just be a pain in the ass until they relent. But this probably should go into your contract next time would be the appropriate protection next time around.by Ethan - Café LA

Ok its an old version of MC and not a very good one. I've bought the update but haven't installed it as Im just finishing up 2 projects. I'm bringing in ProRes 422HQ versions of the VFX Plates that I have made in resolve to check that they match the offline files. I made a pre-set in resolve for this so their really the same animals, but some are colored Yellow in timeline (MMA) and some aby Ethan - Avid Media Composer

Match Move in Premiere using Red 5k footage - 9 years ago
So the geniuses that started cutting the show I'm on now, didn't believe/understand an Offline/online workflow. So I'm cutting a feature in PP CC, in 5K. I'm new to PP, is there a tutorial recommended for doing match-move and screen re-place. I'm tearing my hair out. AE is just kicking my ass, do I need to use Mocha too? I got rid of the USB drive, and that stopped the error -50 crashes. Still very unstable, I had updated another drive to Yosemite and I tried working with that, and it's stable. Although now I cant use my Matrox card because they havent created Yosemite drivers yet. The Audio problem was some sort of pilot error, some muscle memory keystroke that turned the audio down to nothing on the masterby Ethan - Adobe Premiere Pro CC

I'm having a problem with audio not playing in the timeline. I probably toggled something using an avid keystroke or I don't know what. Any suggestions? I can load the audio from the timeline into the source window and it plays out loud. Also Premiere crashes and locks the drive, or just locks the drive. I've made several outputs for sound turnvover and VFX turnover. Reference files, I am making then directly from Avid to mp4 and using the timecode burn-in filter. I keep getting movies with duplicate frames. It will double up a frame 1 to 4 times in a 20 minute reel. Usually at a 15 frame. The movie will have two identical frames at say 1:13:32:15, throwing off the length of the referencby Ethan - Avid Media Composer

So potential new project feature film shot on either Dragon or Epic. My system is : Processor 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon. Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB. Can anyone just cut the red footage in PP. or is transcoding to something smaller still best for a feature. Does sync merge work? Preliminary research is pointing to black frames where created in resolve when a drive was too slow. There may have been replacements made of the dailies that had not been copied to both systems.by Ethan - Avid Media Composer

I am getting seemingly random black frames on playback, but on only one of my systems. my older Mac Pro plays the footage fine. I have two systems: Both are Intel MacPros, System 1 has. OSX 10.8.5. Media Composer 6.03. Using a Matrox mini. System 2 has OSX 10.6 and Media Composer 5.5. and no external video card. Which I needed to do anyway, but I know figuring this out is going to be important at some point. If you where doing two back to back features by the same company, that shared elements. What am I missing here. I am using the consolidate function, and checking re-link. These are subclips with second system sound. I'm getting no audio, and some files will re-connect others don't. This is part of the Pluraleyes meta-data corruption. It might also be just a FCP bug. You'll find some of these subclips will magically go wildly out of sync for no reason as well. The subclips have to be made with perfectly matched ins and outs of the audio and pix, to keep this from happening.
