I guess you blew by my response. It is currently not working as you want it to. Again, you can render if you set your render settings to 8 bit. Please try that. Carry on.by Kevin Monahan - Café LA

Currently, ProRes 4444 cannot render oddball frame sizes at 10 bit, but if you switch your render settings to 8 bit, you can render it. You can also try a different codec, such as animation to do what you want. Hopefully, Apple will fix this one.by Kevin Monahan - Café LA

Color Conform Tool - 14 years ago
Color conform tool as part of media manager. Media manager should trim, send all speed adjusted clips to Motion in the background for optical flow, conform them back into the sequence as rendered files, do the same with Smooth Cam clips, and remove all effects. A lot of the great text effects you see these days is from 3D programs, so first you need to study mo-graph and 3D. A lot of the 2D effects you can do in Motion, have you tried that? Great text animations are usually made by great designers, that's for sure.by Kevin Monahan - Café LA

I've been thinking more about this you guys. I think you guys have a good point. I wish that FCS had a more robust way of sharing media and projects. I don't think that Server is quite the right tool for the task. I never got much experience with Unity, but I can see its simplicity and power.by Kevin Monahan - Café LA

Bunim Murray cranks out those reality shows with FCP and Xsan like nobody's business. I think you guys are right, the editors didn't want to give up their Avid workflow. You can share projects with Final Cut Server. What about that?by Kevin Monahan - Café LA

Good feature request Jeff. Optical Flow works even better in Motion 4. In Motion 3, it analyzed the entire media file, which was bad for people that capture tape rolls. In Motion 4, it just analyzes the clip in the timeline.by Kevin Monahan - Café LA

I have the one described in Ken's article. It's a Pioneer inside an OWC enclosure. It's rather loud because of the fan, but I've already burned a number of Blu-ray discs and they look great. When I'm not burning, it stays off because of the noise and power consumption.by Kevin Monahan - Café LA
