An irritating bug. What you might have to do is force Final Cut to transfer the change from one internal database to another. This might work if you make a small text change to the subtitle that will force the size of text to be taken into account. This would be adding a space character to the end of a title, clicking away from the title and then deleting it. Alexby Alex4D - Café LA - X

There's no way to make Final Cut Pro X display source timecodes as overlays in the viewer. The workaround is to use compound clips. Make each clip in your multicam clip into a compound clip and add the Timecode reader inside each of them. @alex4dby Alex4D - Café LA - X

I used to make FxScript-based effects for Final Cut Pro 7, but that was years ago. Sadly I've almost forgotten my FxScript skills, so I'm sticking to making effects in Motion.by Alex4D - Café LA - X

If you add your selections to a multicam clip and use the multicam clip in your projects, you can go back and change the effects - colour correct, effects, audio settings - in the multicam and the clip will update wherever it is used. I've written this method up on my blog.by Alex4D - Café LA - X

I've just uploaded a non-keyframed version of the 'Four Corners' title to my blog. You should be able to reposition the text elements and have the animation still work in 10.0.3. Alexby Alex4D - Café LA - X

Found a small bug in v1.0. If you want to install a title template that needs to go into the 'Build In/Out' folder (I'm fixing faults in some of the built-in templates), MTT can't deal with the '/' in the path, so puts the template into an 'Out' folder in a new 'Build In' folder in the 'Titles' section. Here's a link to my blog post where I've posted a fixed version of the Overlap title. I know this doesn't fix the problem in general. Perhaps Apple will add a preference per parameter that toggles between the old and new way of adding keyframes. Alexby Alex4D - Café LA - X

The new 'keyframe adding' feature of Motion/FCP X means that Title Generators need to be redesigned not to use keyframes. I've just fixed the Overlap title so that it uses behaviours. I've added a 'Horizontal Position' control so that you can set where the titles animate to and from depending on how long your text is. I'll make my version available on my blog tomorrow. Apple provided many effects with Final Cut Pro, but not as many as they could have done. There are many more supplied with Motion 5, some of which are useful for editors as well as motion graphics designers. If you visit my blog you'll find Final Cut Pro X versions of Defocus A lens blur with settings that give control over bokeh highlights. This is a bug with FCP X 10.0 - when using the official method, the new compound clip that is automatically generated does not match the settings of the video clip if it is 1080p25. After trying twice, I've synchronised by eye and ear since. Alexby Alex4D - Café LA - X

This effect moves, rotates and scales the clip it is applied to. You define the strat position, rotation and scale. You also choose an end position, rotation and scale. There are 'Constant' and 'Ease Both' curves for all three parameters. There's also an 'Exponential' curve for large changes in scale. I've come up with a replacement for the Dip To Color transition for Final Cut Pro 7. If the transition is on a secondary storyline, you can choose for the Opacity of the dip to be 0, so that the storyline underneath becomes momentarily visible. Here's the next set: They're a set of effects that allow you to matte to the exact pixel dimensions you want your final output to be. There's one for the four major project settings in Final Cut Pro 10.0. I suppose the only way AJA could do it is to put the new files into the 'Original Media' folder (or aliases if the user requests) of a chosen (or new) Final Cut Event folder. They would then need a way of adding the required information to the .fcpevent SQLite database. That's the API Apple say they'll introduce in the coming weeks. I've just returned to Sam Johnson's twitter stream. Apple have got in touch with him to give him a couple of clarifications: Quote2. Ability to buy ADDITIONAL #FCP7 licenses for EXISTING volume licensed deployments is something Apple are only looking into at this stage. 4. If you want to stay in FCP X, you can use its equivalent of FCP7's Command-Option-V 'paste contents' command by using the replace edit feature. Select the clip you want to use and drag it on top of your placeholder clip but don't release the mouse button. Choose a replace mode from the contextual menu. Alex.by Alex4D - Café LA - X
