M.by Mat Dee - DVD Studio Pro How to activate subtitles through a menu. - 17 years agoI have a submenu where I have three buttons "French subtitles On", "French subtitles Off", and "Return to main menu". How do I target the Subtitles On/Off buttons so that when I press one of them, then "Return to main menu", and then the "Play Movie" button in the Main menu, the movie will play with/without the French subtitles? P.S.by Mat Dee - DVD Studio Pro Change timecode in subclips - 17 years agoHi I have a clip with about 20 subclips and I would like to modify each subclip's timecode individually without it changing the timecode of the other subclips, i.e. 'Subclip 1' starts with 01:22:00:00 and 'Subclip 2' starts with 01:01:00:00. Any ideas? Mby Mat Dee - Café LA Smooth computer screen menus - 17 years agoI am basically restating my previous question: Is there a way to make my dvd menu fonts look equally smooth on a computer screen as those on menus from store bought dvd-movies viewed on the same screen? (The store bought ones seem to be smoother and more "anti-aliased".) Mat.by Mat Dee - DVD Studio Pro Avoiding that low-res-jaggedy-edges-stripy look - 17 years agoThis is probably a very basic questions but I can't find any answers on the FAQ: I want my dvd menus to look good both on a regular (PAL) television set and on a computer screen (this is a showreel for ad agencies and they tend to watch dvds on both types of screens). How do I avoid getting that low-res-jaggedy-edges-stripy look on my computer? I have a very simple dvd menu where there are five buttons on a white background .psd file. Each button is just plain text (I use the "Include Text in Highlight" and each button has a different track as its target. Is there a difference in the metadata encoded on HDV material and DV material?by Mat Dee - Café LA Start/stop recognition on Capture Now - 17 years agoHi, I want to do a Capture Now of a miniDV tape (yes, I know it's better to batch capture separate clips, but my camera ? which I use as a player ? is too annoyingly slow when it comes to finding exact in/out points). Can FCP break the material into separate clips based on the start/stop points on the tape while capturing? I DON'T want to use the Start/Stop Detect function afterwards becauseby Mat Dee - Café LA Re: The content of a sequence - 17 years agoI thought more of a list of Master clips. But thanks Derek this sort of works for me too.by Mat Dee - Café LA The content of a sequence - 17 years agoI have a (unnested) sequence that contains some, but not all, of the clips in my Browser. Is there a quick way to find out which of the clips I'm using (without having to slowly go through the sequence in the Timeline and note them down on a piece of paper)? Mat.by Mat Dee - Café LA HDV on QT - 17 years agoI was just wondering if it's possible to capture HDV footage thru QT (7.1.2) instead of capturing it in FCP? Mat.by Mat Dee - Café LA FCP vs. Avid Glossary - 17 years agoDoes anyone have a link to or list of FCP terms and how they translate into Avid. I have to do some work on an Avid (although I prefer FCP) and I would like a list (like for instance what is the "Ripple Delete" command called on an Avid?). M.by Mat Dee - Café LA Re: Subtitles from FCP to AVID - 17 years agoNo, I'm sorry Andreas I do a lot in Photoshop but unfortunately i don't know much about apple scripts. Thanks for your help though. M.by Mat Dee - Café LA Subtitles from FCP to AVID - 17 years agoHi guys Is there a smooth way I can export my subitles from my FCP timeline to an AViD MC (that has the same video but with no subtitles)? M.by Mat Dee - Café LA Re: re capture footage in FCP with an Avid EDL - 17 years agoHi Billy, just chose "Recapture" under "Import For" in the Import EDL dialog box. then right click all the Master Clips in the Browser and choose "Batch Capture...". M.by Mat Dee - Café LA Re: EDL relink without recapturing - 18 years agoThe HDV footage was recaptured to an Avid and that's why the clip names are different than the ones I have on my FCP. it just drives my crazy because there's no problem relinking EDLs from FCP to Avid but the other way around it just doesn't work. I guess I just have to do it manually...by Mat Dee - Café LA EDL relink without recapturing - 18 years agoHi, is there anyway that I can reconnect sequence info from an EDL based on its reel/timecode info and NOT its clip names (the clip names I have in my EDL are different from the ones that I have in my project ? although the footage is the same) without recapturing the entire footage?by Mat Dee - Café LA |
