Re: .bmp files - 16 years agoI got an answer on the Apple forums. Using Quicktime Pro to import it as sequential files and then export it as video worked perfectly.by Jim Furlong - Café LA .bmp files - 16 years agoGreetings, I am working with a program that created an HD file for me, but output it as sequential BMP files. I know the AVID will recognize sequential files and import them as one piece of video, will FCP do the same thing? There are 4000 files or frames so cutting them in one at a time is not something I look forward to doing. Thanks so much for the great support!by Jim Furlong - Café LA Re: Star Wars Scroll - 16 years agoThank you very much once again to the great people here on the forums! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the support I have gotten over the years! Jimby Jim Furlong - Motion Star Wars Scroll - 16 years agoI posted this question in the Motion Forums also. I need to create a Star Wars Scroll for a tribute reel I am doing for John Williams. Any suggestions about how to go about this? Thanks so much!by Jim Furlong - Café LA Star Wars Scroll - 16 years agoI know you guys must have answered this question before, but I need to create the Star Wars Open Title for a John Williams tribute reel. I am guessing Motion is the right program to use. Any suggestions how to proceed?by Jim Furlong - Motion Re: Unable to down convert to SD from HDV - 17 years agoThe way I have found to get around any time limits on compressor is to choice "New Default MPEG2" instead of a timed choice. You then are free to adjust the compression as you need to accomodate the time of your project. I too created edited an HDDV project, but what I did was export the entire project as a Quicktime Movie, not a Quicktime Conversion, but the Quicktime that is the samby Jim Furlong - DVD Studio Pro Compressor 2 Batch Monitor - 17 years agoJust made a post on this forum, so I thought I would also ask about a problem I have lived with since Compressor 2 came out. The Batch Monitor quits immeadiately upon the start of compression, and will quit as soon as reopened. It will stay open for the first compression which is the audio, but as soon as video starts it quits. This is merely inconvenient because Compressor continues to do theby Jim Furlong - DVD Studio Pro HDDV 1080 60i to DVD - 17 years agoGreetings Pundits of Compression! My son has just finished a 30 min film shot on HDDV and edited in FCP at HHDV 1080 60i. I know I can make an NTSC MPEG2 with a 16:9 aspect ratio, but is this my only option? My goal is to have a standard DVD that will play on any set. I know there is an HDV 263 or something like that HD DVD compression, but is that only for the new blu ray DVDs? I know the MGEby Jim Furlong - DVD Studio Pro Re: Outputting HDDV - 17 years agoSorry that I did not post my equipment specs. I have to admit that I copied the post from my original on the Apple Discussion boards, where the system information is listed outside of the message text. Therefore I ommitted that important information. G5 Dual 2.3 4Gig RAM OS 10.4.6 Final Cut Studio ver 5.0 I have now solved the problem, so this post is to share the information. I brought this into DVD Studio Pro as a 16:9 burned a DVD just to make sure, and it played swimmingly on my television. So the process does work, that is why I am thinking of the segmented outputs to identify any trouble areas.by Jim Furlong - Café LA Outputting HDDV - 17 years agoFirst let me say I am a professional editor with 26 years experience. I have been working with FCP and DVD Studio Pro for three years. I have created DVDs from countless FCP projects. I am working with HDDV for the first time, it is actually my son's school project, a 30 minute film. I am having all kinds of problems outputting a cut for "rough cut" approval.
