Re: FCP audio to Soundtrack Pro: retain effects?? - 14 years agonow that i have 13 separate aiff's (i set the sequence in FCP to 14 tracks, then exported audio as aiff, grouped channels), when i import them in STP, they open only as separate projects. is there an easy way to get them into a multitrack project onto their respective tracks? thanks again for your time and thoughts.by stanya - Soundtrack Pro Re: FCP audio to Soundtrack Pro: retain effects?? - 14 years agoalso, if i do it track by track, what's the simplest way to select a whole track (it's a long piece.) thanks stanyaby stanya - Soundtrack Pro Re: FCP audio to Soundtrack Pro: retain effects?? - 14 years agothanks for your reply. i realize it's sort of backwards, but i am used to doing my sound in FCP, this is my first attempt at surround mix and using STP. unfortunately, i did all the sound in FCP and it was extensive. before i got your reply, i tried a test with one clip with one effect on it: Export>for Sountrack. it made a quicktime. when i opened it in STP, it seemed to have retainedby stanya - Soundtrack Pro FCP audio to Soundtrack Pro: retain effects?? - 14 years agoWanting to do a 5.1 Surround mix in Soundtrack Pro. But did all my audio already in FCP (effects, filters, fades, speed, etc..) When I sent the finished FCP piece (with 13 tracks of effected audio) as a multi-track project to STP, I lost all my effects, my fades and transitions etc... Obviously I don't want to and don't have time to recreate the entire audio mix with effects in STP. But I haby stanya - Soundtrack Pro Re: Stairstep/lines 24fps on 29.97 timeline - 14 years agohere's on still from a quicktime. in QT, it shows up as these lines when there's movement. in FCP canvas, it looks stairstepped/pixelated when there's movement. if this doesn't help, i'll post more when i return. thanks stanya oh wait, how do i load an image? i need a url ? this is gonna take a minute...by stanya - Café LA Re: Stairstep/lines 24fps on 29.97 timeline - 14 years agothanks nick. i will try to post screen shots and/or video bit this weekend. have to go out of town for 2 days. maybe there i've not described it accurately. thanks again. will post more to try to figure out what can be done. stanyaby stanya - Café LA Re: Stairstep/lines 24fps on 29.97 timeline - 14 years agop.s. this work will primarily be viewed as large scale projection in galleries/museums, not on TV. it will also be viewed on computers for curators to screen. any idea if there is anything to be done to improve the jitter issue in exporting? i apply a cinelook in aftereffects as well. not sure if there's anything in after effects i can do. thanksby stanya - Café LA Re: Stairstep/lines 24fps on 29.97 timeline - 14 years agothanks for your response. So this is normal for 24fps? (it's my first work with this new camera.) seems to defeat how great the image looks to have it broken up like this. 29.97 NTSC mindv didn't do this. Hmm. what a drag.by stanya - Café LA Stairstep/lines 24fps on 29.97 timeline - 14 years agoI found one other thread dealing with this, but had no answers. I shot at 24fps on Panasonic DVX100. Was told/read that I could use regular 29.97 capture and sequence presets in FCP (version 5) because the mini dv tape would still read the 24fps that way. (I did NOT shoot in the advanced progressive mode.) But two things i am noticing: small black frame around the image and lines/stairstepping.by stanya - Café LA |
