export to quicktime mov fails with general error 34 - 11 years ago
Hi, what is general error 34 and why can I not export a clip to quicktime? This failed after many successful similar operations. Any help very much appreciated thanks, Danielby dbrmus - Café LA

Update: repair permissions does not solve problem. Getting around the problem I move active files from "my computer" to a separate folder "audio" in "Macintosh HD" where it does recognize files. This is real pain. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Danielby dbrmus - Soundtrack Pro

Hi I open STP to start a new project In the browser I select User and "my computer" and receive a message box "An Unexpected Problem - uncaught exception" with options to Quit or (pulsing) OK Quit quits, OK crashes STP Apple advised to dump preferences: no change then reinstall: Reinstall Failed I called Apple back but they have no answer. convert to mono problem - 11 years ago
Hi in Soundtrack Pro my computer (Mac 10.6.8 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/4GB 1067 MHz) howls when I convert to mono. This, even though I have a firewire output to M-Audio 410. Has anyone any clue why this is happening and what I can do to correct it? Thanks, Danielby dbrmus - Soundtrack Pro

Thanks Tom, and sorry about incomplete info. Here it is: iMac 10.6.2 Intel Core 2 Duo FCP 7.0.1 Quicktime 10.0 Canon GL1- DV terminal IEEE 1394 (purchased 2001) to External Drive with that port chained to iMac (via firewire 800) thanks for your help, Danielby dbrmus - Café LA

Thanks, I created the audio in Soundtrack Pro and mixed 6 tracks, but it seems, unlike with Protools, that the export as a 24 minute stereo mix to an aif file yielded an enormous 1.6G file with 2 tracks of active audio and 4 with nothing. What explains that?by dbrmus - Café LA

Hi, I'm a PT user new to STP. STP does not seem to recognize my aiff or wav files, and I cannot import them. The STP documentation is absolutely no help. What is wrong with me or it? Thanks, Danielby dbrmus - Soundtrack Pro
