Also new Adobe upgrade policy. - 12 years agoI like that open letter for sure. I was miffed at hearing this as well as I don't always upgrade every version, and since the FCP market is partly Adobe's and Avid now, it just doesn't make sense that they would do ALMOST the same thing Apple did with FCPX. I've always had both FCS and Premiere's suite so I'm no Johnny-come-lately here, but I feel like I'm getting screwed twice.by Darren - Adobe Premiere Pro CC Re: What to do.... - 12 years agografixjoe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yep. I'm assuming so, but don't know for sure.by Darren - Café LA - X Re: R.I.P. Very entertaining interview.by Darren - Café LA Re: Deinterlacing - 14 years agoI seem to remember going through Ripple Training's DVD Color Tutorial (the first version) and I remember it saying that when you add a Color Preset, that it wouldn't apply the effect to interlaced like it would progressive footage. I think you had to do an extra sten if it was interlaced footage. Don't know about the latest version of Color and if that was corrected.by Darren - Café LA Re: OT: Ironman 2 Trailer out now... - 14 years agoI'm wondering what you guys think about Cheadle as Rhodes? Not seeing the film but just in the re-casting. I like continuity and wasn't too thrilled about The Dark Knight having Maggie Gyllenhaal cast instead of Katie Holmes. I know re-casting is sometimes necessary, but for me I'm kinda torn. I love Don Cheadle and Terrance Howard both respectively, but I had a hard time buying Terranceby Darren - Café LA Re: OT: macbook pro's and kids inquiry? - 14 years agoTo me the answer lies in if you are willing to risk losing everything (worst case scenario) if your kid messes up the comp in any way. If that's what you are willing to live with, then so be it. My 17" Macbook Pro decked to the teeth cost me near the neighboorhood of $4K. I love my 9 year old daughter, but not willing to risk a major falling out due to poor judgement on my end.by Darren - Café LA Re: Is it possible to burn a blu-ray disc from FCS-3 (final cut 7, dvdsp5) ? - 14 years agoShane Ross Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Because Steve said so. I know I can upload files and provide a link for a customer to download. I also have a Yousendit account (with a 2GB limit) so customers could send me large files via a mailbox that they can upload to. Does iWeb have this feature somewhere? I've looked around and can't find anything that says iWeb can do this. I know they sell audio stuff too, but wonder what are some of the other excellent dealers are out there if looking for mixers, mics, boom poles etc. Are there other sites to avoid (like avoiding Lacie Drives )? That has got to be the most counterproductive innovation I have seen yet for the personal computer (IMHO). Not geared towards the Post Production community for sure...but there are tons of Apple fanatics that must have the latest, so believe it or not, it will probably sell quite a bit.
