Just finished editing and ready to send to compressor. Video cam from a Sony HDR-AX2000. It is 1920x108030p. I just noticed that the titles I did in motion are 1440X1080. After copying files, I tried Voltaic. Got an error saying it was unable to parse the input file. Pretty sure this means I am in trouble....correct?by videodave - Café LA

Thanks for the reply. I have not done anything on the cards themselves. I am going to copy them to my HD this morning. I am able to see the MTS files so after I finish copying them I will try Voltaic. Thank you for your help. Hope I can fix this.by videodave - Café LA

Shot some video with my Sony HDR-AX2000. Now having trouble with the SD cards. Cannot import with L&T. Tried many different avenues. The files may be damaged. I think the cards are bootlegs (dammit)! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to recover them? Thanks Daveby videodave - Café LA
exporting tracks - 12 years ago
I recorded a cassette tape and split it into different tracks accordingly. When I export the tracks to aiff files the are all the same length even though the tracks are different lengths. I am editing a dance recital and would like to be able to view both video tracks at the same time. They are already synced up in the timeline, just want to be able to see them both so I can choose the best points to switch back and forth. Still a newbie after all these years I think! I have been having an issue with compressor. Can't seem to get through a rather long project (3.5 hours) I have my Final Cut sequence set for the Apple ProRes422. When got home, I could not log into the computer and had to restart. Compressor had only done about half of the video encode. Am I missing a setting that would cause a hang? I am definetly a newbie, any help would be appreciated,by videodave - Compressor - Media Compression and Conversion

I am trying to burn a dual layer disc from DVDSP. I know you have to set a break point but for some reason no matter what I try I cannot get it to work. Could someone give me their interpretaion on how to do this? I am clearly missing something, thanks!!! Daveby videodave - DVD Studio Pro

I have been reading many answers on the web as to bes tway to export from Final Cut. If I am going to assemble many different sequences into a DVD, what is the best format to use? I am currently using the MPEG4 setting but have heard some things about H.264. Clearly I am a newbie but I really want to learn this so I can get the best possible quality. Can't burn with copyright - 14 years ago
I just burned a DVD and I wanted to include copyright protection. It burned fine, but the log window said this device does not support burning copyright ( or something like that) I am burning it on my iMac so it should be just fine right? Thanks, Daveby videodave - DVD Studio Pro
